We went to the lake by recommendation from a friend and we were glad we did so.The walk around the lake takes about 1h and the view from everypoint around the lake is different.Very recommended!

We visited the lake last week, which, along with the few properties near by, had an almost Austrian feel. The lake is truly beautiful with the walk around it, relaxing and gentle.

We cycled from Riva and maybe underestimated the journey! It's all uphill but really worth it and very scenic. You benefit on the return journey as it's freewheel all the way back to riva! The lake is stunning and it's such a peaceful setting. There are restaurants around but never tried any. Would have loved to visit on a hot day and actually get in the water. But still a lovely place to see

beautiful lake you can swim or walk around...for a full round you need to cross a cool and cold water pass

a beautiful peaceful lake, nice to walk around, to sit or to swim (if you are brave enough). but you may have a picnic there. bikes are not to be ridden, the walk takes about an hour if you go really slow and take pictures

Lovely relatively quiet spot with some good restaurants close by. Ample parking. Beautiful place to swim if you don't mind chilly water!

On a whim we decided to see if we could get there on our own steam. We borrowed bicycles from our hotel in Riva del Garda and cycled up to Parca Grotta Cascada Verona (expensive, but worth a visit) where we left out bikes (no gears made the hill a little daunting). Just past the Grotta was a hiking trail which took us all the way past the ancient town of Canale and eventually to the lake. It was a steep climb, but oh so worthwhile! You pass through forests and fields and the views are spectacular. The lake itself is stunning - a perfect place for a picnic. Our best day in the area by far.
