We spent a morning visiting this Olive Grove we were greeted by Corrado who gave us a most informative introduction to his olive trees which was followed by a tour of the wonderful trees all so old and we had fun recognising the different shapes on the trunks of the trees. Corrado told us some of the most interesting details of the groves history which was followed by a superb tasting session. The only downside was the containers were in excess of 100ml and as we were flying back to the UK with hand luggage we were unable to buy any of his lovely oils. If possible I would recommend anyone to visit early on in their holiday so you could buy some oil and then consume it whilst you are still in Italy.Thank you Corrado, I am sorry that my Italian does not match up to your perfect English!

A most special visit. Almost religious. Feet in the snow (last snow fall in 2007...) Harsh life, to press the olives, in the past. To say the least. Corrado Rodio, the lord of the estate, sounds like an actor in a Shakespeare play. Lots or groups from the whole world flock there. Success, success. Starting by acting, at 15, as the guardian of those giants. And falling in love with the site, leaving it all, marrying someone only at the condition that she, too, would stay under the spell.

I thought this would be a simply, short kind of tasting/tour. However, I could have stayed much longer. The history is amazing, our host was incredibly personable and informative, the orchard is spectacular. I loved it.

The proprietor of our hotel arranged this tour for us after I asked where I might buy the lemon flavoured olive oil that was on the table at dinner one night.We spent over two hours being educated, entertained and amazed by the very passionate, engaging Corrado, the owner of this beautiful property. Walking among the ancient trees was lovely and touring the underground press area, chapel and other farm building with all the old farm implements was like being in a museum. Last but not least we tasted several delicious oils and although Corrado was getting low on stock we were able to purchase several bottles and are enjoying them at home. Every time I use this oil I think of Corrado and the amazing history and family continuity at this unique property.

How can you miss visiting a location where olive oil has been produced for 3,000 years? They've done a lovely job creating this tour - just the right length at about an hour, with a visit to the olive trees, the underground olive oil mill and the "modern" masseria mill above. In the afternoon, the light on the 1000-year-old+ trees is enchanting for any photographer, professional or amateur. Our only disappointment was that they've sold all their oil for last year and aren't ready to bottle the new - so we couldn't buy any. (A good reason to go back). Go, learn, enjoy!

An amazing place, steeped in thousands of years of history, the proprieter is so passionate, knowledgeable and hospitable, we could have stayed and listen to him talk about this place, its ancient olive trees and delicious oil for a whole day and still want to come back for more. Organic, very beautiful place. If you really want to know about olive oil and get your hands on a supply of the very best, come here. Simply not to be missed!!

we loved our tour of Masseria Brancati, and Angelo spent a good deal of time with us, walking us around the ancient olive groves.. which were planted by the Romans over 2,000 years ago. We even got to see a 3,500 year old Olive tree - incredible. Angelo took us into the olive groves and showed us so much,, we learnt so much, but then into the underground olive mill, which was a humbling experience..... we now have a whole new appreciation of olives, olive oil and how the flavours are different. A peaceful experience, so fascinating and enjoyable, a great way to spend two hours of your time in Ostuni - it's a simple ten minute drive down from the old town, has free parking and is simply a beautiful experience. DEFINITELY A MUST!!!!

I am not the sort of person who spends hours at these sorts of attractions but I am glad my wife suggested this one? Absolutely fascinating and very professionally conducted in an intimate way. Who would have thought that olive trees and their produce could reveal so much?

My wife had wanted to go here from the moment we landed in Puglia, but I wasn't too keen on how she had described it, I eventually relented and have to say it was a great hour we spent. The guide was great, the tour interesting but not too long and reasonably priced at 20 euros for a family of four. We walked around the olive trees and then the farm, and ended with a tasting sat in the courtyard in the beautiful sunshine. The owner came out at the end and was very chatty, and took our 2 little ones to see the rabbits they keep. There was no hard sell at the end which I anticipated and if anything we had to push them to sell us some of the wonderful oil, which was only 5 euros a bottle anyway. It's a wonderful way to spend an hour in Puglia.

we really enjoyed our tour of Masseria Brancati, a friendly welcome at our car by the owner was very surprising, we had our own guided tour of the olive groves learning about the history of Olive oil and the fantastic trees, even the kids (4&5) enjoyed themselves as a few surprises are thrown in to keep them entertained! We were then joined by some other families and shown the areas where the olives have been crushed and squeezed through the ages, quite fascinating. The tour finishes with tasting the oils. An enjoyable time had by all, perfect way to spend time whilst the cloud clears on an overcast day.
