Like most piazzas in Italy, this one is vibrant. I wish I had visited on a spring evening instead of a chilly January afternoon. There a good places to eat, little cute cafes, and some interesting buildings or architectural treats around. A bit of the same if you've been to other places around Italy, but still pretty!

Try the foccaccia speziale at Gianna's place!! The best there is!! And a traditional recipe from Italy! On Saturday there was a show with live music on the piazza, a lot of people but a stunning evening!

This lively square is the best Bari has to offer. It is an interesting mixture of history and everyday life, so you can choose a little of both. Very pleasant to have a lunch or coffee and enjoy the atmosphere around you.

Like all of Bari, easy to find local cafes....typically Bari is underrated, and has had a bad press in the past....get your map & explore at leisure...enjoy a heady spirit of urban regebneration projects

This is the square to be, to see and be seen. During the evening there are a lot of persons roaming around chatting and looking at the sea. There are also a number of restaurants and bars in the area

Piazza del Ferrarese was a place where store owners met, commerce, trade and various business were conducted and fresh caught fish was sold. It has remained an historical piazza through the centuries. If people of Bari didn't care, as someone implies, the piazza would have not been remodeled as it is today and would have not looked like the "Living Room of Bari". The piazza is clean, inviting and bustling with nightlife. Restaurants, trattorie and cafes have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and it is safe to walk around during the day.The administrators of the city have done a fabulous job in moving the piazza and the old Bari forward in the future while keeping the ancient look intact. The piazza is second to none if we compare it to more famous piazzas of Italy, just needs more tourists.

A busy and lively piazza with a good view of the Art Nouveau theatre and the port just nearby. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Remember that everything, dinner included, starts later here, so if you want to eat, go around 9pm. After that, everyone seems to converge on the place - and don't miss out on the fabulous ice cream from Martinucci!

Incontournable lorsqu'on vient a Bari!
