My girlfriend and I were the only two English speakers at the midday tour time, but instead of being asked to come back later we got a tour guide all to ourselves. Elena, our English-speaking guide, was excellent - very knowledgable and funny. The tunnel is an incredible place, with several layers of Naples history still visible- from its use as a quarry and aqueduct, to a royal escape route, to a WWII air raid shelter, to a vehicle impound lot (you can see the rusted vespas and fiats). Then it was forgotten and sealed from the 1950s until geologists rediscovered it. The Tunnel Borbonico team are volunteers and have done an amazing job cleaning up the tunnel for tourists to visit. A tour of the tunnel is like getting to be Indiana Jones, and it's a welcome change from the more standard architecture/sculpture/artwork tourist attractions.

Wow - we were stunned by the history of this tunnel. It's an absolutely must see when you're in Naples. Our tour guide was wonderful (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name - started with an F - Fabiana?) and funny and very knowledgable. It's a fascinating piece of Napoleon history that you just can't miss out on.

We did the 15:30 tour with our english speaking guide, and loved every second of it. It is a little hard to find the entrance (Google Maps doesn't seem to like some the streets in Naples). It is tucked away on the next street from the touristy street. Ask the friendly locals, and they will help you find your way. Be sure to leave yourself extra time to get there! The price is extremely reasonable for 2 hours of history. We DEFINITELY recommend going for a visit- even it's the only thing you do in Naples.

We have been there this afternoon at 15.30 (adventure trip) and we spent a lovely time! The tour lasted a couple of hours and it was really interesting and nice at the same time! In addition, our guide (the president) was really helpful as he explained lots of gossips. Definitely a must see for whoever comes to Naples. Just wear some comfortable shoes!

We went to the Bourbon Tunnels just before we left Naples and it was a great decision! The place is a bit hard to find so we asked a couple of friendly locals to point out where it was, so allow yourself some extra time to find it. Inside you'll find an array of tunnels which have a rich array of history, and the tour guide was very informative and nice. There are other tours on offer (for those more adventurous), and if we had extra time we would've definitely taken themWould recommend seeing these tunnels to anyone going to Naples

If you go nowhere else in Naples you must visit the Bourbon Tunnels. What a thought provoking place it is.....so much history. Our guide spoke almost perfect english and certainly knew what she was talking about. Considering these guides are volunteers, they do a fantastic job. It was a bit tricky to find but go to tourist information and they will put you right. We had the standard tour but there are other options if you feel adventurous. €10 very well spent and a fabulous afternoon.

Naples is a very unique city and the Tunnel Borbonico is one of the reasons. There's a whole world down there to be discovered, stratching right under your feet. Amazing! Defently it worths the visit.
