Tiny theatre well worth a visit. Tours can be arranged. Staff helpful. An unusual place. Help to keep it alive by going!

As regular theatregoers we had to visit this place. The tour is in Italian but a CD commentary is put on in English during the visit. During the summer the theatre is open virtually daily as we went on a Tuesday. The little town is interesting with lovely views. A donation is recommended as no charge is made.

The village is a jewel so beautiful and well kept that looks like a movie, and the visit the "smallest theater in the world" is a wonderful continuation .The entrance to the theater is free.There is a guided tour that carried people who love this place and help to maintain .

Although tiny it is surprisingly accommodating and the info commentary was well done. Some of the decorative painting was splendid though some primitive.

Girovagando su Tripadvisor abbiamo scoperto che il teatro più piccolo del mondo è in Umbria, in un paesino molto pittoresco, Monte Castello di Vibio!! Naturalmente abbiamo deciso di andarlo a visitare, ci siamo stati durante le feste di Natale. Il teatro è bellissimo con delle magnifiche rifiniture, ed è interessantissima la storia raccontata dalle guide che vi accompagneranno per il tour organizzato. Vista la bellezza del posto ci siamo meravigliati della poca affluenza (abbiamo fatto il giro in 3!!)... è un gioiello ancora da scoprire!
