It is really small and the guide only spoke Italian but was enthousiast. We found it all interesting.

Very interesting, but not for the faint-.hearted. The mummies you see in the photos have a story to tell - one was a woman who died during a caesarian, for example.

Church full of mummified dead people.My 7 year old son was intrigued.My 10 year old daughter was horrified.Overall very interesting & I would put top of the list for any visit to Urbania.

This is a mysterious sight. Having read so much about it before, we were a little tad disappointed when we got there (nearly missed it, because it closes in the middle of the day). It could be so much more. The church is not particularly well kept and a bit messy. The mummies are fascinating and scary if a bit dusty and worn.Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We came across this when staying nearby and it was well worth a visit. It is fairly macabre, but my two girls loved it for just that reason, whilst the explanations for the mummification and of the various "causes of death" were interesting for us adults. The guide did an excellent job of explaining in both English (for us) and German for the other visitors.

Ne vale la pena! Per la modica cifra di 2€, la guida molto esperta vi racconterà storie di vite vissute quasi 450 anni fa!La consiglio!

Un'esperienza durata circa 20 minuti... ma sicuramente molto intensa. Si entra in una piccola stanza circolare, ci si posiziona al centro e tutt'intorno vi sono scheletri umani. Una guida svela particolari raccapriccianti di quei personaggi vissuti nei tempi passati. Da non perdere!

La chiesa dei morti è situata proprio nel centro di Urbania. per la modica cifra di due euro una guida vi spiegherà la storia di queste mummie che hanno la particolarità di essersi conservate benissimo nel tempo mantenendo anche i tessuti come la pelle, su alcune sono rimasti perfino i capelli. tutto ciò è stato possibile grazie ad una muffa particolare presente nel terreno dove erano stati sepolti i corpi.

Una chiesa del XIV secolo, che all'interno cela una serie di mummie, corpi che grazie alla particolarità del terreno non si sono completamente decomposti. Una simile cosa si trova ad Oria, in provincia di Brindisi. Grazie alla competenza delle guide, il posto rimane interessante senza essere lugubre

Il biglietto di ingresso costa solo due euro a persona quindi visitabile da tutti. Anche il servizio guida incluso è molto utile
