Who knew when we decided our hotel didn't know best that we would find the Very Best all on our own. When our hotel gave us very limited and ridiculously expensive options for a boat sight-seeing trip, I decided to turn to the web to find something on my own. Came across Andrea and one fabulous review after another, sent him an email which he responded to very quickly and arrangements were made for the next morning. He greeted us in Portofino harbor and we were off for a half day tour from Portofino to San Fruttuoso and Camogli. The sun was bright, the seas calm, and Andrea described the history of an extremely beautiful part of the world. Andrea is very charming and informative. He provided an enjoyable "sound track" throughout our journey, and you can just tell loves every minute of what he is doing. If you get Portofino make sure to contact Andrea for an experience you won't forget. Thanks Andrea, we hope to see you again someday!

The two hour relaxing and enjoyable boat ride in the coast line of Portofino, San Margherita, Rapallo and Camogli was the highlight of our visit in this area. Our Skipper was at the boat pier on time. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable of the area's history. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Portofino area for the first time.

Andrea could not have been more accommodating when we changed our original arrangements twice. He has earned his place at the top of all the attractions on offerIn Portofino. Our trip with him to Camogli and Frutuoso was the highlight of our ItalianHoliday. It was pure magic when we encountered a family of dolphins at sunset on our wayback to Portofino. The boat was powerful, well appointed and expertly skippered.Top marks to Andrea.

You can choose the bus but the water taxi was a much better trip. Buy the roundtrip ticket rather than each way and also purchase at your hotel as this was much easier.

Andrea was extremely helpful in booking the trip with us, as we changed the reservation several times. He picked us up early as arrived at the rendezvous spot earlier than expected. He was very interested in what we wanted to see and do and pleasantly agreed to take us to a spot where we could go swimming. As he was born in the area, he was full of talk about the local sites and pointed out places on interest on the coast. A totally enjoyable afternoon.

We reserved Andreas and his boat for the day and had the most spectacular time stopping in this port during our Crystal Cruise. Out of all the daily excursion we have taken this ranks as one of the best. We spent the day with Andreas who took us along the coast where we visited a number of locations, went snorkeling in the Mediterranean sea and had a fabulous lunch along the cliffs with fresh fish, vino and all the fixings. Andreas was a most gracious host, very accommodating and knowledgeable. We were very comfortable on his "fast" boast with 4 adults, three teenagers and a 10 year old. This is a must do in Portofino...La Dolce Vita!!!

We were in Portofino for 5 days and we decided to go boating. When we arrived at our place to stay ,our host suggested Andrea Taxi Boat. We walked down to his boat and talked to him, told him we wanted to go out half day tomorrow. He was so nice, spoke great English and was very easy to work with. No paper work, no nonsense, just a great family company. We got on the boat the next day and went to San Fruttuoso for an amazing lunch at Georgio's. Of course Andrea got us the best table and we had an amazing lunch. The next day we decided to go again, but this time down to Comogli to see a cute little Italian town. We brought our own Rose wine and had a great day again. Finally the third day we were there we couldn't get enough of Andrea, so we went to an amazing little place by boat where he dropped us off. We enjoyed the day there eating and sunning and he was back to get us when we called. His service is fabulous, personality is wonderful. We highly recommend him if you are in Portofino. If you think his prices may be expensive, the money is worth every moment. We will miss you Andrea, but will be back next year!

The boat trip can be described as finding true enjoyment in doing things in a simple manner. My husband and I had great conversations with our guide Andrea whilst soaking up the sun and sights and learning more about the areas. We felt so relaxed afterwards, it was a really special day for us both. A must do if ever in Portofino!

What a wonderful 3hours we spent with Andrea on his boat in Portofino. When we arrived by tender ( were on the Quest cruise ship) Andrea was waiting and introduced himself to us. We were scheduled to sail with him at 11 and we had 30 minutes to have a look round the harbour before setting sail. ( on return had any amount of time as our ship didn't sail it 2200hrs) Andrea was at all times super informative and clearly knows a vast amount of the local history of Portofino and the surrounding coast. His passion for this stunning part of the world,where he was born,and brought up is clear to see and it was extremely interesting listening to him tell us stories about his father and his own childhood. We made several stops around the coast and even had time for swimming in the crystal clear waters. We then went onto Camogli where Andrea recommended a couple of places to grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately the weather on this particular day was less than perfect however Andrea made up for that with his knowledge and warm hospitality. Portofino and the surrounding coast line is truly stunning ( apart from the weather which of course is out of everyone's hands) we had a wonderful day. Would highly recommend this trip should you be fortunate enough to visit.

The day that we had our taxi boat scheduled the weather was less than perfect. Andrea called us to discuss the possibility of doing it on another day, waiting until later that same day, or canceling all together. He told us his opinion on how the weather would affect us and let us know that if we were uncomfortable and decided against going out that it would be no cost to us. Needless to say, the weather cleared and we went on a beautiful ride around the coast near Portofino. He was very knowledgeable about the area, pointed out historic landmarks and even had us take a little swim. I would HIGHLY recommend using Andrea for your taxi boat needs during your stay in Portofino!!!
