We were there for a wedding, and I must say that this is an awesome place. The views are lovely. The fact that it's on the very top of a hill means that the scenery looking down are awesome. We didn't get to try the food but the menu at the restaurant looked and sounded great. I do look forward to trying it sometime. And as far as reception 's or parties go, this seems like an awesome place for either.

Great location to view some of the most beautiful scenery in Germany. The cafeteria style food/restaurant was fantastic. It had everything from salads, to burgers, pizza and fish, and the typicallly wonderful Germany beer. If you aren't hungery just grab a beer and sit at one of the many picnic tables or grab a chair and enjoy the scenery.

In the past I was a tourist here and now I am living in this quiet and charmant city of Untergruppenbach with a nice view of Stettenfels castle from my bedroom.I would say that not only the view which is probably the most impressive thing about this castle, it is also great to come here for meals and biers, specially on Sundays. This is actually what german people who lives near here do.It is an environment of party, with families everywhere hanging out while enjoying a stunning view. Would recommend the Xtra large cheese burger followed with french fries, unbelievably good and well done. To drink, a 500ml of Radler (Bier with Sprite or Lemon Juice).Enjoy!

Nice view. Lots of nice flowers and chairs to sit on and relax and look out over the area. We took a cold drink in the bar. Nice and clean toilet containers. Lots of chairs outside. They arrange medieval fests, but not when we were there. Would have loved to go to one of them.

We stopped for lunch with family who live in the area. The food was great - salads were fantastic, and the view from the dining area was marvelous. We'll come again.

Der sonnige letzte Oktobertag lockte uns hierher. Das sog. Schirmcafe bot als Alternative zum bereits geschlossenen Biergarten aber auch gemütliche Plätze im Freien mit einer fantastischen Aussicht. Die Speisen von der Tageskarte mit 6,50 Euro allesamt sehr moderat, der Zwiebelbraten mit Spätzle für 17 Euro dagegen eher nicht. Ungeachtet dessen waren die Gerichte lecker und nicht zu beanstanden.
