This is a beautiful Church inside. Stop by here twice. Once on Sunday coming in to Friedrichshafen and then the next Saturday. Inside is just amazing.

We visited this grand Baroque church on a dreary and rainy afternoon in July. It is an impressive and gorgeous edifice, almost overwhelming in its grandeur. The organist was rehearsing Schubert's Ave Maria as we were walking in and it sounded just beautiful in the great expanse of Baroque murals, paintings and sculptures. It doesn't matter if you're religious or even of the same religion, the building and its atmosphere will amaze and delight you. There are tours offered by in-house guides, take one, they are very knowledgeable.

This is the same as the one rated as Wallfahrtskirche Basilika Birnau. Great location overlooking the Bodensee. Not much from the outside but very elaborate inside. you are not supposed to take pictures inside and that is the reason for my less than excellent rating.We took the bus #7395 which goes from Fredrichshafen along the north coast of the lake.

A must see inside this beautiful church. It is worth the trip. The view outside the church is amazing and the church is simply awe inspiring.

Lovely Basilica with beautiful images and statues inside. No photography allowed, so couldn't take pictures, but they need to be seen. The terrace outside the church has magnificent views acros lake towards Switzerland.

This is a superb church/cathedral. Great views over the lake. And vineyards. Interior of the church is magnificent and we spent a good hour there looking around.

Prachtvolle Barockkirche mit kleinem Zisterzienserkloster im Eingangsbau. Sehr reichhaltige Dekoration, Skulpturen und Fresken mehrerer bekannter Meister. Traumlage mit Blick über den Bodensee.

Der auf die Spitze gesteigerte Prunk einer Barockkirche. Die Lage ist phantastisch, über dem Bodensee, die Inneneinrichtung überwältigend, man darf einfach nicht daran denken, was die Renovation gekostet hat, und was man mit dem Geld allenfalls hätte Gutes tun können. Wer diesen Prunk liebt, sollte - ist er in der Gegend- hingehen.

Die Wallfahrtskirche in Birnau ist nicht umsonst eine der großartigsten Barockkirchen weit und breit. Man muß sich längere Zeit darin aufhalten um möglichst viele Details zu erkennen. Ein überwältigendes Erlebnis!
