Visit the museum. Great for couples, singles and all types of families. See how people lived and worked many years ago in this area. Touch and feel the garden plants, pet animals, including the Hohenlohe Schwein (pig) half black, half white :)

This open air museum offers great insights into traditional German life as it was centuries ago. The "village" consits of over 50 different buildings, that can be explored. These buildings include farm houses, a church, a school and much more. The buildings go as far back as 500 years. The setting is amzing and everything is sprawled out and it is a lot of fun to explore. The buildings are furnished as they were when they were inhabited and one can learn a lot about the everyday life back in the days. This is an awesome and fun museum and I visited it every year. The admission fee is very reasonable.

Original buildings from the whole area brought here to be able to see how living was like a century ago. Live acting e.g. in the courthouse, smithies etc. Vast area with farming to see: beehives, ponds, sheep, orchard, sawmill. Regular activities for families, children, shows etc.

A very pleasant way to discover old German ways of living. The houses are situated in a large open area just outside schwabisch Hall. The entrance price was very reaonable for all there was to enjoy. The only downside for us was that we did not have enough time to take in everything as the park is quite widespread allow a day and take a picnic or enjoy food on site. If you have children with you they will enjoy running around freely and seeing the animals.

Great open-air museum. This is not a small one at all. Beautiful scenaries and panoramas. The forrest area is a rather steep walk. Buildings are grouped in such a way that it seems to be a landscape long forgotten in these hasty times.
