I don't know how people with mobility issues would get around because this museum took up several levels. It was fascinating, covering many parts of history, from geological exhibits to world war items. The theatre display was amazing.

The Schwabisch Hall Museum is an impressive museum full of historical artifacts! My husband and I visited the museum with Schwabisch Hall residents with whom we stayed. The Museum is housed in seven different historical buildings, which includes the Kecken Tower which was built in 1238/39. The museum includes artifacts such as tools from the Ice Age and many pieces of art work from the Middle Ages to the present including a collection of Leonhard Kern (1588-1662) alabaster and ivory sculptures. A large city model allows visitors to see variations in the size of the city over time. There is an extensive collection of painted targets (about 200) spread throughout the museum. A second portion of the museum, the Stadtmuhle, houses several floors of the city's history from the French Revolution up to the end of the 20th century. This includes several exhibits on Jewish life in Schwabisch Hall, including room recreation of synagogue paneling from 1738/39.The one downfall for an English-speaking visitor is that there is almost no English text explaining the exhibits; however, the museum does offer an English pamphlet. Even without the English translations throughout the museum, I still believe that it is a great visit for even those travelers who are not familiar or not comfortable with reading German.

Besonders das Mittelalter, wie es sich in einer alten Reichsstadt abgespielt hat, wird in allen Facetten erstklassig präsentiert. Das Museum befindet sich in einer wunderschön instant gesetzten alten, städtischen Burganlage incl. den benachbarten alten Häusern. Einfach toll!

Mooi overzicht van rijke geschiedenis van de streek met veel authentieke documenten uit heftig oorlogsverleden vanaf de Middeleeuwen t/m nazi-tijdperk. Ook bijzondere aandacht voor geschiedenis van het Jodendom in deze streek. Interessant!

Семьей посещали музей, остались в полном восторге. Внутри есть два направления, направо и налево!;) Направо- несколько этажей с разными экспонатами, стоит посмотреть! Но потом не пропустите в начале поворот налево. Вы попадаете в старый дом, вы окунаетесь если не в атмосферу, то хотя бы в часть истории этого места. Можно через переходы попасть в следующий дом и посетить также подвалы. Очень рекомендую к посещению. Совет- дойдите до самого чердака, до последнего этажа на крыше!

Voor iedereen die van geschiedenis houdt is dit museum een aanrader. Weliswaar de historie van de streek, maar gezien de opstelling en uitleg een goed beeld van wat er hier is omgegaan en hoe bijzonder het stadsbestuur vroeger al was. De grootste verzameling oude schietschijven van Duitsland, allen met een eigen verhaal
