Well worth a trip here. We spent all day in the centre. 4 floors and many things for the kids to do, including building things. Local place but does accommodate English, but on most experiments the audio doesn't off English and it would be helpful to have this as an option. However you can get by with limited German and looking at the pictures. All day ticket and went out for food during and came back. Parking only 3 euros, but you must get ticket done at the centre and not when you go back to the car, as I did as its Eur 11 and centre was now closed, oops, wife not happy! Our 7 year old son really enjoyed it.

Experimenta is nicely arranged, with each floor having a different theme. My children (ages 10 and 12) enjoyed the various activities, and I also saw adult-only pairs/groups actively engaged. Almost all of the activities have directions and an explanation in German and English. We were there on a Saturday and had a few minutes wait for some of the activities, but I had expected much worse. We were there five hours and could have stayed longer! There is a small cafe on the premises (we brought along a snack), and there are lockers to store your jackets/backpacks in. Park at the parking structure close to Experimenta; if you have your parking ticket validated at Experimenta, the cost is only Euro 2.50 for the day.

Nice location with lot of activities to do for kids and parents. It has been a perfect fit for a "rainy" day. Interesting the possibility to try different games and keep trace of your points.

I spent 4 1/2 hours in this science museum like building and was not bored for a minute. I do speak and read German, but most of the exhibits had English directions, too. My nephews had visited before and had their facorite things, but we all stopped at each attraction to try again to figure out how to do it. One spent an hour writing music and one spent his hour preparing a newspaper. It was a splendid experience and I would go again.

Super Konzept! War hier bereits drei mal mit Freunden oder Kindern! Es lohnt sich, vor allem die oberste Spiele Etage. :-)

Mann sollte auf jeden Fall für einen Besuch in der Exerimenta genügend Zeit einplanen. ES gibt viele Interessante Mit-Machstationen bei denen die Kleinen aber auch die Großen nochmals etwas lernen können. Dauernt abwechselnde Sonderausstellungen laden auch zum immer wieder kommen ein. Am allerbesten gefallen hat uns der Musik-Komponier Raum.

Super interessante Ausstellungen und vor allem auch Möglichkeiten selber durch "Experimentieren" etwas Neues zu lernen.Um ein Vielfaches besser als z.B. das Odysseum in Köln. Man spürt dass der Stifter hier im aller besten Sinne "geklotzt" hat.

Idealer Ort, um mit quengelnden Kindern von 6-12 etwas zu unternehmen, Parkhaus direkt gegenüber,tolle physikalische Präsentationen, alles zum Anfassen und Experimentieren, aber die Kinder sollten lesen können, also nichts für Kindergarten.
