Went really to photograph the moated castle having seen in on the Internet. Sadly, not a complaint, it is in the middle of a major restoration programme. If visiting that should not distract from your enjoyment. It is a stunning example of a moated small castle. There good toilets , a decent cafe and a museum. Some pleasant flat walks in the grounds

As my friend had described when seeing my pictures of this beautiful castle - Gothic !!!This is a must visit castle... You can go at any time... Picture uploaded...To go - reach Ludinghausen and go to Burg Ludinghausen. From there, the trail is around 15 mins to reach Burg Vischering...

My husband and I visited this historic Castle on a lovely warm day in September. You can really feel the history here, and look at the articles on display which were used in medieval times. We loved it. There is also a little traditional bakery on site where you can purchase various breads. There is also a small coffee shop to purchase refreshments. Surrounding open space with various busts of historical figures situated along the way. After your visit suggest a short walk into Ludinghausen where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream sundae.

I went to Burg Vischering on a cold and rainy day in December. I was glad to have a GPS system with me to help me find it. When I arrived the castle itself was closed, but the adjoining house and museum were open. For two euros, I walked through the museum, which was basically two rooms: one for kids and one with artwork. There wasn't much too see, but it gave us something to do while we waited for the castle to reopen. The entrance into this museum also covered the cost of viewing the castle. The grounds of the castle are quite beautiful. There is a trail you can follow all the way around the castle, which we also did while we were waiting. There were all sorts of interesting species of birds in the water. I believe there are many other trails connecting this castle to others nearby. This would be a great place to ride a bike if the weather was nicer. Once we got inside the castle, we were pleased to see some interesting artifacts. They have weapons, furniture, and artwork. They have some rooms set up as they would have been when the castle was in use. In some rooms, you could still see original frescoes painted on the castle walls. It was very beautiful. However, there isn't that much to see. They don't allow you to view the whole castle, just one floor. There is a restaurant in the basement of the castle, however it was not open when we visited. I am guessing it is only open in the summer months when they have more visitors.

Die Burg Vischering liegt sehr schön in Lüdinghausen. Drum herum gibt es eine wirklichen schönen Fußweg, der allerdings nicht ausgebaut ist ( nach meinem letzten Stand, ich war allerdings auch schon etwas länger nicht mehr da). Im Innenhof gibt ein sehr gutes Cafe mit vielen Köstlichkeiten. Man wunderbar spazieren gehen und die Natur genießen. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, in die Burg hinein zu gehen. Der Weg zur Burg und auch der innere Bereich sind allerdings mit Kopfsteinpflaster bestükt. Für Menschen die nicht ganz so sicher auf den Füßen sind könnte es etwas schwierig werden. Einfach mal vorbeischauen.

Die Burg ist wunderschön ,der Reitstall sehr gemütlich,es gibt guten Kuchen und Kaffee dazu! Die Konzerte die wir bereits im letzten Jahr besucht haben waren alle sehr schön!

Это самый настоящий водный замок, который сохранил свой внешний облик почти со времен позднего средневековья, и все благодаря тому, что его владельцы - семейство Дросте - забросило его некогда ради замка Дарфельду. Замок существовал, совсем как спальня спящей красавицы, отчего и дотянул до наших дней почти в первозданном виде. Но уж очень "почти". Считается, что построен он был в 13 столетии, но уже в первой половине 16 века был основательно перестроен в сторону уменьшения обороноспособности, зато увеличения комфортности проживания. Но весь комплект рыцарского замка наличествует - ров с водой, бойницы, сторожевая башня и т.п. На соседнем с замком поле периодически устраиваются рыцарские посиделки и побоища, со всяким средневековым колоритом, разве что нынешние рыцари выглядят почище, да мускулатурой несколько порыхлее.Внутрь замка пускают только с организованными экскурсиями и по предварительной записи, но смотреть там особо нечего - интерьеров нет, экспонатов маловато, хотя они и крайне аутентичные - резная кровать с пляской смерти, железный ошейник (чем-то знаменитый), янтарный крест и что-то там еще. Без экскурсовода будет скучно. А без экскурсовода и так не пустят.Но немного и потеряете. Лучше прогуляйтесь по роскошному парку, и посмотрите на замок с нетипичных ракурсов, благо туристы по парку особо не шастают. Во дворе замка имеется кафе (так себе) и средневековая пекарня, где пекут средневековый хлеб - можно купить буханочку. Хотя не сильно увлекайтесь, рецептура все равно адаптированная, навряд ли б кому-то понравился настоящий средневековый хлеб.Замок открыт для посещения все дни кроме понедельника в теплый сезон с 10.00 до 17.30, и в остальной сезон - с 10.00 до 16.30.Проехать можно по автомагистрали А1 или А43. Из Мюнстера ходят автобусы.

Nach langen Jahren habe ich die Burg Vischering wieder besucht und war überrascht was man dort alles erneuert und verbessert hat. Es gibt einen Parkplatz für Fahrräder einen barrierefreien Eingang zum Museum und ein Restaurant so wie einen Bäcker der köstliche Brot verkauft. Hinzu kommt natürlich die Burg mit ihrem wunderbaren Umfeld.Wer sich dieses Wasserschliss angesehen hat, sollte auch die Burg Lüdinghausen in Lüdinghausen besuchen. Das lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Burg Vischering är ett utmärkt exempel på de många "vattenslott" som den här delen av Tyskland är känd för. Det ger ett mycket ålderdomligt, fantasieggande intryck och känns väldigt oförstört. Jag skulle ge borgen toppbetyg om det inte vore för att utställningen i slottet enbart innehåller information på tyska. Man får visserligen en liten informationsbroschyr på engelska vid entrén, men det känns inte riktigt som om det räcker. Slottet och dess park är ändå absolut värda en resa, i synnerhet för slottsentusiasten. Missa inte de galna gökuren utanför entrén till visningsrummen.
