I have seen many different shows here and all have been excellent, interesting and enjoyable. It is the best in the region and you can see how passionate they are about what they do in the shows they produce.

We saw a performance with music from Pink Floyd and this was a wonderful and very professionally done. Of all the many (and excellent) attractions in Bochum, this is my favourite and is also excellent value for money. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly and I would certainly recommend the planetarium to anyone of any age. It's educational, fun and enjoyable and great for both adults and children.

We pitched up in the morning expecting to go round a museum that would explain about planets, stars, nebulas and galaxys - fat chance. They run multimodal shows several times a day so we had to come back later (messed up my planning). We watched "Faszinierendes Weltall" (Fascinating Space). You recline in a seat and watch the whole dome come alive with stars and planets. Fabulous! If you do not understand German don't bother. I sat between the children trying to translate. However most of the pathos disappeared in my synopsis. The wife, sitting one chair further simply fell asleep. I loved it (I understand German) the rest of the family was polite.....

First of all, if you don't speak German very well... don't go! The posters in the museum are few and far between to begin with, but they're all in German. This place is a bit farther away from all of the multilingual museums in Mitte and other touristy areas, so this isn't surprising... But just thought I'd throw it out there.We went yesterday and it was super boring. It's only €5, but there's not much to do here except see a show. There are a few posters and pictures with some info listed... But I've been to another planetarium and it had way more information (exhibits, classes, etc.) There is really nothing to do here except wait for the next show inside of the planetarium theater.We went to the 5 o'clock showing yesterday for "The World of Planets" and I almost fell asleep. The show was so boring and the video was sooooo outdated. It had creepy music, bad graphics, and of course the fact that it was in German didn't help either. I went to a small-town planetarium in the early 1990's that had a more modern film to play. I was quite underwhelmed. The facility is quite nice, though, with theater style seating with blue velvet chairs. It would really be fun to go to a show if the film was purchased in the last decade.And who knows, maybe this film was new. If so, though, these people were bargain shopping and settled for buying the lowest quality. Maybe the other shows are better, but is advise you to save your money. Go to a Berlin museum, a planetarium in another city, or perhaps donate money to this place. Then maybe they can save to purchase a new show!

The Planetarium itself is very nice, the chairs are comfortable and the clerks are nice. There are nice posters in the hall leading to the entrance to the inner theater. By all means AVOID the show "Star Rock Universe". It is incredibly bad. It's an hour-long animation of the lowest quality, coupled with (some) excellent songs, which just makes you hate the show even more since it does no justice to the music AT ALL! Apart from the animation looking at least 30+ years old, it 'features' some weirdo dancers in black tights doing all sorts of weird moves... just awful, really repugnant.All other shows at the planetarium are probably good, but do yourself a favor and skip this one.

When I think of a planetarium I think of exhibits and also the star show. This place is only a theater. Don't get me wrong, the theater is set up to show star based shows and the theater is very nice, but you go to the show and then go home because there is nothing else at the planetarium. No exhibits, just some posters.Also there is no cafe, only machines.

Wir waren im Programm "Abenteuer Planeten" und waren schlichtweg begeistert.Die Top-Bewertung hätte es gegeben, wäre die Shop-Mitarbeiterin mit dem Kurzhaarschnitt und der Brille nicht so hyperunfreundlich gewesen.
