I like this castle which is surrounded by water and in a very good shape. Worth to see especially during xmas time when there is the christmas market in the garden next to the castle.

We were surprised, and somewhat disappointed to find the inside of the castle had been converted onto a modern art museum. If you have a camera with you, they will require you to sign a affidavit that you will not post the photos online. Since we are not fans of modern art, it was not a problem, as I did not take any photos inside. Nice little garden on the grounds. Exterior architecture was beautiful.

We paid entry to see a nicely recontructed castle, only to find that the interior has been modernized into a sterile boring interior. Only a small exhibit shows the history of the castle, rest is art that does not suit my taste bur atmosphere is very clinical.

Really great museum just outside of Kleve that houses the Joseph Beuys-who was born in Kleve-Archive. A nice exhibition showing the context of his work in a biographical manner. Much of the exhibit is from printed archives, but it's quite well done. The grounds of the museum are quite lush and beautiful, although I didn't have time to see the sculpture garden. There was a side gallery with more contemporary work...not a great show when I was there, but it rotates so try your luck. Also a nice room that shows the history of the castle-the family it used to belong to, what happened to it during the war, and the more recent reconstruction. Totally worth it is you are an art fan, Beuys fan, interested in a beautiful garden, and more!

Zwar wenig Gäste, schönes Ambiente, Neuausrichtung gelungen. Zuviel "Wohlwollendes" über die frühere Besitzerfamilie. Vater war im Nürnberger Prozess angeklagt (Staatssekretär von Hitlers Außenminister Ribbentrop)

Wir zwei Ehepaare aus dem Schwabenland machten uns auf die Reise an den Niederrhein ..am Freitag besuchten wir den weihnachtskunstmarkt im Schlosspark vom Wasserschloss Moyland .wirklich wunderschön gestaltet .alles was man zu Weihnachten seinen lieben schenken kann war hier zu haben wirklich schöne ausgefallene Sachen...Getränke essen würde von der schlossgastronomie gestellt .genaus so ausgefallen und edel wie die Marktstände ..dieser Markt ist nur zu empfehlen ..

Een paar dagen per jaar is er de kerstmarkt rond Schloss Moyland, gisteren deze bezocht en hoewel het warm was, was het toch prachtig. Wel betaal je entree voor de kerstmarkt (5,-) maar het kasteel bezoeken inclusief bezoek aan de noordelijke toren en het museum van Joseph Beuys is maar een Euro. We hebben eerst de kerstmarkt bezocht en toen het kasteel in, en de expositie over Joseph Beuys bekeken toch de moeite waard. De Toren moet je beklimmen (geen lift) maar leverde wel een mooi uitzicht op het park en de omgeving op (het was mooi helder weer geworden).Er waren ruim 100 kramen, met eten, met veel houtwerk, lederwaren, kleinkunst etc zeker de moeite waard we hebben er gegeten en ons inclusief kasteel 3,5 uur vermaakt, zeker toen het donker werd, werd het kasteel prachtig uitgelicht.

Интересный и красивый замок (вернее комплекс) находится недалеко от города Клёве. Внутри находится музей европейского искусства. Отличный вид открывается в вершины башни замка. Красивая природа немецкой глубинки вокруг.

Un posto da sogno, ricco di arte e immerso nella natura.. Questo è il castello di Moyland vicino Kleve, in Germania. Nell'edificio centrale la mostra permanent con un intero piano dedicato a Joseph Beuys, in quelli laterali le mostre di breve durata, sempre curate e interessanti,mla biblioteca e di fronte la caffetteria (ottime le torte), il tutto circondato da un bosco e da giardini curatissimi e arricchiti da sculture che vi sorprenderanno. Consiglio di visitarlo con calma e di godere del panorama dalla torre del castello. Ha Natale inoltre il parco e gli interni si animano per il mercatino natalizio.. Consigliato!

Wir waren mit Freunden zum zweiten Mal auf dem Kräutermarkt und haben wieder alles gefunden, was wir für dieses Jahr benötigen. Auch etwas mehr. Der Markt hebt sich etwas von anderen Märkten ab, weil hier nicht zu 80% "Fressbuden" stehen, sondern weil hier passend zum Markt etwas angeboten wird. Keine Pommes mit Mayo und kein Döner.Das Schloss mit der wunderschönen Parkanlage sorgt immer für einen schönen Hintergrund.
