Every time i visit this open theatre in the heart of the forest , i have a great time ! it is amazing feeling being there , watching theatre or a concert, having the city lights of the town of Thessaloniki , resting in your feet.

I went some months ago in an incredible concert which I will never forget. The sound environment is fantastic, the architecture is appropriate for a museum and I am very happy that this theater is used continiously. Great please to visit!

Just pick an ancient Greek play and enjoy! On a hot summer day, the evening up the hill is rejuvenating and the forest is beautifully combined with the seaview!

Liked the location. Absolutely breathtaking view of the city. As for the amphitheater- great acoustics and capacity.

it is the perfect location for summer concerts and many theaters and ancient plays .i have been several times there and it is together with the theatre of earth the two nice places for concerts .

The setting of this theatre -in the midst of a forest with stunning views of the sea and the sunsets- makes any production seem magical. The seating is HARD though- so its a good idea to bring a cushion, otherwise half way through the play or concert you start to pay more attention to your nether regions than to the show. People sell you bits of polystyrine to sit on but this is expensive AND environmentally unfriendly. The toilets are EXCELLENT always a consideration at places where huge numbers of people gather together for hours at a time.You can walk up to the theatre- quite a way and UPHILL, but taxis often are reluctant because the approaches to the theatre get very congested. Going by car is not ideal as parking is limited and its hard to get in and out. The walk down to the city after the show is very pleasant. Tickets are normally very reasonable.

Magical scenery, concerts and drama productions are amazing especially on a summer night. A must cultural experience in Thessaloniki. Check the bus schedule as the local buses to agios pavlos drive past the place. But do take along your own water and snacks as the prices there are dear.
