We have visited other hot springs/hamam in Greece but we keep coming back here as it is simply the best. You need one hour by road from Serres - take the road towards the Bulgarian border at Promohonas. From there it is 10 km to Agistro. Phone to book your hamam in advance as although they are open 24 hours they are always busy as the locals use these facilities regularly. The water temperature is a steady 40 degrees and the private pools have falling water outlets which pummel your neck/back/shoulders giving you a great massage. The charge is very reasonable - €5 per person and if you don't have a towel it is €1 extra. Be prepared to change quickly - the sessions are 30 minutes (you can always book a double session if you don't want to hurry) and you are expected to be outside within 10 minutes of the bell sounding. Actually, 30 minutes is enough in the pool, but it's always a rush to get changed and out in time. If you book in advance, ask for the old hamam (as opposed to the new, prefabricated ones). Once you are inside, it doesn't make much difference, but the old ones are more pleasing aesthetically.If you are in the area around lunchtime, go to eat at the trout farm just down the road. They are open every day, year-round for lunch only and you can eat freshly smoked or grilled trout, other grilled meats and real buffalo burgers - delicious!

On a trip to the North of Greece and after a morning coffee at Seres, we decided to take the time and effort to visit Aggistro which is famous for its healing waters. Not a bad choice at all! Excellent service, very clean, amazing experience, relaxing & refreshing @ the same time enjoying our privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely do it again. 10euro for a half an hour session but since there wasn't any other appointment we spent more than half an hour. If you get the chance, dont hesitate to visit Aggistro!

Πολύ καλές εγκαταστάσεις με μεγάλη πισίνα κ αποδυτήρια μέσα στο χωρο.Καθαρό κ προσεγμένο.Αξίζει τα χρηματα!!!

Θέλει πολυ αναβάθμιση. ΕΧΕΙ μείνει πίσω.. Ευτυχώς προσφέρει πλέον και υπηρεσίες μασάζ απο 20€ ξεκινάνε το 20 λεπτό έως 50€ η ωρα.. Ρωτήστε πάντως τα ξενοδοχεία που μένετε γιατι συνεργάζονται με το χαμαμ και κάνουν καλές προσφορές για ζευγάρια (28€ τα 20') αλλα και δεν χρειάζεται να σκάτε για διαθεσιμότητα στο χαμαμ. Το ξενοδοχείο που θα μείνετε το κανονίζει ευτυχώς. 5€ η μιση ωρα το άτομο..Δεν πρόσφερει κάτι το ιδιαίτερο αλλα καλό ειναι για σκ. Πάρτε μπουρνούζια μαζί σας και κουκουλωθειτε γιατι ΕΧΕΙ ψόφο εκεί

Prive hamam με ιαματικά στοιχεία και ζεστό νερό!! €20 η ώρα για 2 άτομα!! Ζητήστε το βυζαντινό hamam και θα θέλετε να πηγαίνετε συνέχεια!!

Όμορφες μικρές πισίνες με ζεστό νερό, πολύ χαλαρωτικό μπάνιο. Παλιότερα που πηγαίναμε τα νερά ήταν ποιο ζεστά. Εκνευριστικό το ότι δεν μπορείς να μείνεις όσο θέλεις. Υπάρχει ένας τύπος με τον τίτλο "Λουτρονόμος" (!) που μετά το πέρας τις ώρας αναβοσβήνει τα φώτα για να βγείς!!!!

Κοντά στον Προμαχώνα, στο χωρίο Άγκιστρο βρίσκονταΙ οι ιαματικές πηγές του χωριού με θερμοκρασία 41 βαθμούς. Η εγκατάσταση περιλαμβάνει πισίνες 1-4 ατόμων, όπου το νερό πέφτει πάνω σου με αρκετή ορμή. Χαλάρωση και μετά συκώτι και σεφταλιές στη ψησταριά τα φιλαράκια. Αξίζει τον κόπο.
