We enjoyed the day in Agios Fokas beach and we experienced scuba diving. Kids loved it. The beach is wery well organized and the water is crystal clear

We cycled from Kos town to Therme. Had fun in the hot volcanic pool. Anyone who has been there will know its fun for a while but you would not spend the day. We got back on our bikes and stopped off at the last Hotel/Taverna/ in Ag Fokas. It’s the one that is almost at sea level not the huge hotel complex up the hill.To get to the beach you walk though some gardens and a small hotel/apartment complex. The beach is pebbly but it’s flanked with greenery and has a pleasant view and outlook. The beds are free, lunch is inexpensive and was rather nice.If you are in this neck of the woods and want to spend an afternoon or day by the water this is the place (well after you visited Therme)

Small quiet beach but difficult to enter and exit as the stones are quite large and painful on your feet.

Lovely chilled out beach which has free sunbeds and service at your bed. They always play chilled out tunes from the beach bar which is perfect whilst your relaxing. Only down side is it is a pebble beach but you cant always have everything.

One ridiculous place we all love. Hot sulfur waters are coming out in the sea from sand, with bubbles and smell of rotten eggs. People come here and lay in shallow hot water, and the scene reminded me of the funny apes in hot springs in China :-) I was one of them, so, no offence anyone. You won't be able to soak longer than 10-15 minutes, and it's the limit anyway, don't test yours. Keep the face dry. Watch the silver jewelry, it will oxidize in water.Closest beach bar is great, you can have drinks and food very fast for small amount. And it's tasty, too.

A good location, accessible with public transport (20 minutes by bus from Kos city, ticket € 1,50 one way), this stony beach is a perfect relaxing place, but a little windy in the afternoon. Do take water shoes and food & drink (there are no shops around). Clean sea. Cheap facilities (umbrella, seabeds & use of showers at € 2 per person) at Markos Beach. Frequent buses (every 30 minutes until 7pm in August)

Loved the clear fresh water however there it is a pebble beach which we actually started to like. There is no sand to get into your clothes and feet. The pebbles were smooth so they didn't hurt.

I went to this place attracted by the good reviews...and I found it lovely!Clean beach, good music, nice staff and good meals...and best thing is that sunbeds are free of charge for customers! So you can just order your coffee under the umbrella and chill out for the whole day!Water is also beautiful, clean and deep.
