The beach is small, you get wafts from the water plant at the back, full of cigarette stubs and the beach bar plays very poor and loud music for the twenty year olds. Give it a miss.

Though there is a biological unit that smells, when you visit it, it us worth the staying! You may choose to swim or not .. It's up to you visitor.! If you want to relax go early in the morning, choose the boat seat which is free of charge & it is suitable for people who avoid sun! Nice service from kind staff who will help you with their advices! Relaxing music!

Such a wonderful place! The sea, full of blues, greens, turquises. The rocks. Sunbeds from the nature! I love is, and I want to go back, now!!

If you like constant "boom boom" bad techno music and algae, plus a bad smell. This beach is for you. If not head elsewhere. Kea has amazing beaches, go a bit further afield to somewhere like Spathi. It's well worth it.

the new beach bar that just opened up (may 2013) is called BLUE BAY. it is all white with plenty of sunbeds, tables, chairs, dining area, huge bar and music. very relaxing. the service needs a LOT of improvement, but the location and the Greek turquoise sparkling clean waters save it. the food is very good at the restaurant, but service lacks once again. unfortunately there were no limes so many of the cocktails were not able to be served. that was not acceptable since it was expected to be busy for the easter week where a large amount of people arrive on the island to get away. should have been arranged. its a beach bar. with not enough cocktails. thats a no no. over all i would go again for the view and the food.

This beach is about half way between the port town of Livadi and the bustling waterfront town of Vourkari. It's a beautiful sandy beach with some of the warmest water on the island. It sits in a protected cove hence the warmth. It's not the largest of beaches but it's warm, clean and clear. It offers trees fro shade from end to end and a lovely little beach bar/cafe where you can get refreshments should you need them. Great little gem and although it's not in the same class as some of the other beaches, like Xila, Koundouro and Sikamia - it's definitely up there for ease of use, accessibility and clear swimming.

The water treatment plant right next to it. What were they thinking?

This beach is between Korissia and Vourkari.Quite popular due to its location, reccomended for off-peak swimming (early morning or late afternoon) during busy periods.

One of the few organized beaches in Kea, with beach bar. The water has a nice colour and you can easily get there by car from the port (Korissia) or Vourkari (3 min drive). Would recommend to go for a quick swim or even better for an afternoon drink or coffee immediately after swimming on the other wonderful beaches of Kea (Spathi, Sykamia).
