After our visit to the Ouzo factory and hear the story behind it we'll never drink another brand than Barbayannis. All the others are with chemicals in it.It struck us that at the end of the production line it was all hand work, the checking of the bottles, putting the bottles in the boxes and in the bigger boxes.A real must see for when you're around.

Barbayannis Ouzo Museum is a must do, especially for raki-ouzo-arak drinking countries. After learning how producers cheat by using sugar and chemicals in production, you become a "Barbayannis fan" due to their natural production and great hospitality. Visit both buildings - ouzo history building and new factory - visiting is free and you learn a lot. They do not make you feel obligated to buy something; they are great; however I recommend not missing the chance to buy high-quality Barbayannis Ouzo during your visit.
