Beautiful gently shelving sandy beach. Incredibly quiet in early September. Unfortunately the Taverna (Giannakaros) had shut by then. Must be busier in August but I doubt if it could get too busy. If driving be aware that Thanos village has a strangely improvised one way system - it works but is disconcerting at first.

Great sandy beach, crystal clear water. In this long beach you can have services as sunbeds, umbrellas and beach bars but you can also have privacy. Generally its a place beatiful and peaceful. Its near the city of Mirina but there is no public transortation so you must have a car or you can go by taxi, which of course will cost a lot.There is also a nice fish tavern with great food for those wishing to eat and a little complex of rooms for rent to the seaside. Not only i will visit again but i will cosider staying there next time!

Crescent shaped beautiful and peaceful beach with crystal clear and shallow waters. Interesting rocks complement the scenery on either side. The beach bar in the middle is quiet with fair prices and you have prompt access to the nice Giannakaros tavern at 100m at the back.I would greatly reccommend this beach over its neighbouring Platy beach cause it is more scenic, quiet and has better quality waters and sand.

The water is clean and the bay provides great swimming.A range of Beach bars form noisy to quiet and a nudist cove at the far end of the beach which is discreet. A beach for all

Thanos Beach var den bästa stranden vi var på under vår vistelse på Lemnos, vi återkom till den vid flera tillfällen. Utmärkt bad, fria solstolar med parasoll, bar och en bra taverna alldeles vid stranden.

Υπεροχη παραλια, με πανεμορφα νερα. Η Λημνος ειναι ενα ξεχωριστο νησι, απομακρυσμενο, αλλα με ομορφιες, τοπια και εικονες, που δυσκολα συναντας οπουδηποτε.
