The country house (farm, really) is virtually unchanged from when the famous Austrian novelist and playwright lived here for many years in Ohlsdorf - Obernathal, even to papers on his desk, chairs and record on the phonograph player exactly as they were when he died. Well-versed docents guide you through the house and point out even minute objects that might otherwise escape your attention. There is no public transportation, so if you don't have access to a car, you can take a taxi from Attnang-Pucheim train station, or walk the 4 km from the local train station in Aurachkirchen as we did. In good weather, it's a pleasant walk mostly through the countryside.
