A lot of choices for breakfast and all are great. The service is prompt and the servers are friendly and helpful

My wife and i spent all day at Therme Geinberg and had a fabulous time. We swam for nearly 7 hours in the various pools, our favorite being the cascading pools, which are also the hottest. We had a fantastic meal at the main restaurant and found it very affordable. However, the drinks are extremely overpriced (6.45 euros for fresh orange juice) so i would definately recommend bringing your own water at least. Also don't make the mistake my wife and i made and forget your sandals, flip-flops or what have you, because it is very slippery in the halls etc.The pools were amazing though and our favorite part was the jets that shoot out of the beds in the bottom-most cascading pool. We could also see a herd of sheep while we swam in that pool, which i thought was cool. The smaller round pools next to the main indoor pool are not hot-tubs like i thought they would have been but only luke warm pool. My mother-in-law who came with had a 50 minute massage for 50 euros, which she enjoyed immensely, and she enjoyed the saunas alot too. My wife and i just stayed in the pools though and never got bored just swimming around and relaxing.i would recommend this to anyone, especially when it's colder outside, it was in the 50s fahrenheit outside today so it was a nice contrast, although we plan to go back in the dead of winter preferably with snow falling around us.

The area in question has a high concentration of hot Thermal springs and is therefore home to many spas. First let me say that a European Spa does not compare in any way what we here in Canada or in the US call a spa. European spas are, for want of a better descriptive, typically built around or on top of a naturally hot thermal spring where the water is very high in certain elements and minerals and often is said to help cure some illnesses. Sometimes a whole village came into being around such a spring and you will have many choices of different facilities in one town.Aside from this, it's simply a great way to spend a day, especially in winter. Imagine yourself in 38 C water in an outside pool, with snow on the edges if the pool, looking up at a clear starry sky at night, with air temperatures around 0 C.These spas typically include several indoor and outdoor pools, a saltwater pool ( trucked in from the Med, also heated to a pleasant 37 C), at least half a dozen different saunas, whirlpools, a few bars ( juice and alcohol), restaurants and all the additional services you might expect from a spa: massages, pedicure, manicures, a hair dresser and whatever else you can think of to be pampered.Such a spa, fairly new, is the "Geinberg Therme".(-)Built into the Innviertler countryside in a truly rural area, it has nevertheless become a destination for those who seek relaxation and re-charge. Looking at the license plates of cars in the underground parking lot, it is evident that some folks travel quite a distance to visit. You can get four hour passes, day and reduced "evening" passes and anything up from there. It is connected to a four star hotel, should you wish to stay in full comfort on location, but the area is full of B & B type places, "Pensionen" and rooms, apartments or homes for rent. You have a truly wide choice and can custom tailor your stay.In the summer and fall you have great areas for easy walking and biking with lovely trails along the river Inn - no mountains there, and in winter you are only a good hour away from some excellent skiing, should you wish to exert yourself on the odd day.The whole region is dotted by very scenic, historical towns and offers a great selection of country inns (Gasthaus) where you can sample the unique local cuisine and a variety of excellent wines and beers.The Therme itself has a range of indoor and outdoor pools, all at 36 to 37 C, nine (9) different saunas (temperature differences between saunas, including a steam room), and an "Ice world", where you go into from a sauna and then back into a sauna. There are several "quiet" rooms for true relaxation, a few whirl pools, cascading outdoor pools, a saltwater "Lagune" outdoors ( also hot water) complete with sandy "beach", solaria, and a "Sport Center" where you find all the newest equipment to work off those delightful desserts.Most pools have a variety of jets, waterfalls, bubbling pools etc. built into them, where you can let the jets massage any strained muscle. An if you need more attention, there is a host of offerings in the "Vitality Center" -- massages, mud packs, special baths, plus life style and medical coaching.There is a "Floatarium, Hamam, Alpienne, Pantai Luar, Ayurveda, and a Dead Sea salt grotto among others; one day will not be enough to experience all!I could not find out the size of the whole installation, but would guess it sits on at least seventy acres, outdoor areas and lawns included.We rented a small house nearby on this trip ( - )and did day trips from there, including several stays at the Therme. We typically would arrive there by 09:00, rent nice, fluffy bath robes ( we had our own towels, but you can rent these as well) and find two lounge chairs for the day. The day would then be a pleasant successions of swims indoor and outdoors, rest and a nap on the comfortable lounge, some reading, a visit to the sauna area ( co-ed and no bathing suits allowed !), light lunch, another nap and so on; you get the idea: true "dolce far niente".By evening we usually would leave around 19:00 ( they're open until 22:00, Fridays 23:00) and pick a good restaurant in the immediate area ( never more than a 15 minute drive away) and enjoy a local speciality with a good glass of wine or one of the many beers on tap.

Die vielen Saunen laden zum relaxen und schwitzen ein. Auch die Spezialaufgüsse wie Honig, Salz,.. kann ich nur sehr empfehlen. Die Thermenbecken sind mit ca. 36 Grad sehr angenehm warm. Hamam Bereich ist einzigartig!!
