There is some excellent architecture in Larnaka and Ayious Lazarus is one of the finest examples of it. A beautiful small church definitely worth visiting.

Being not really religious, I can't say a lot, I liked it for architectural value. Basically in the centre, this place is clean and nice and quiet. I liked sketching it at night. Its coolness can save you during long hot hours.

This church is absolutely beautiful. It stands tall in the middle of the busy city of Larnaca and it's surrounded by cafes and shops. It's architecture and design are stunning. It's definitely worth a visit.

Located in a beautiful square with little shops and cafes around to sit and enjoy the view. The church itself is amazing to look at, a real gem for Larnaka.

To understand the importance of this church I think you need to understand the Bible story of Lazarus better. The architecture is pretty amazing. The tomb is inside and down a small set of stairs. The amount of frescoes on the alter is pretty breathtaking and slightly overwhelming. The museum is barely worth the 1 euro entrance. It has artifacts from the church like chalices and clothing.

not the biggest landmark church you may ever have seen but this little church, set in a pretty square is quite a magical place. It is the focus of much care, pride and spirituality by the local people, all in all a moving and memorable place.

Impressive history, a richly decorated church, warm, welcoming, plenty of icons from various centuries.

The Lazarus church is very beautiful. You must see it! And the surrounding are charming too. There are a lot of cozy greek style cafes around this place that makes this area even more impressive.

To my mind, the best times to visit the church are:1. Saturday afternoon when there is a wedding, to see the locals all dressed up and excited2. In the early evening, when the church is lit up and majestic3. When there is a service, (fath is irrelevant) as long as you are able to appreciate the history, architecture and melody of the hymns
