This is one of the most spectacular golf courses I ever played. And one of the hardest to score. The hotel is really great with fantastic nice big rooms. Feels fresh and clean. The restaurant at the clubhouse is serving more modern food with good class. We had some really nice but "hard" days at the fantastic course, its NOT for beginners though. Great stay, great golf. Highly recommended.

This could be a fantastic hotel, it has good rooms and is in an amazing location, with views to the sea and mountains, it can be a bit isolated for some people so a car is an absolute necessity. The major problem we found were the staff were not very well trained, the pool was small but adequate and the pool area could have been improved by a daily tidy up, which did actually start on the day we left! We had a huge room and nice balcony - ask for block 5, as these are the nicest rooms. The standard of cleaning was poor, but towels were charged every day.Drinks in the bar in the evening was a bit of a hit or miss affair depending on the bar tender, some nights we had cocktails that were undrinkable, either too strong, wrong ingredients or flat mixers. The buffet in the evening was OK, but we normally ate in the a la carte restaurant which was satisfactory.Breakfast was the highlight of the day, this was due to the omelette man (Serlan) who made omelettes or fried eggs to order, he would go out of his way to please you, if the rest of the staff were half as good as him then this would be an amazing place!Overall this is really a hotel for golfers, if you don't play golf then this is not a hotel for you.

Stopped here for lunch twice recently, very good food at competitive prices served in pleasant surroundings, a good place to stop at if your on the way back to Nicosia / Kyrenia area from the Pan handle

Tough opening holes make this course one where you have to start quickly so the on course range is a good place to start. When we played October 2nd 2014 the course was in excellent condition. The greens were very good, but with the big swells on them were very tricky to read. They were however very good and true.Would recommend a laser as some of the holes seem to play longer than you think.Need a buggy the course is very hilly.

How does a restaurant like this run out of a staple like panini by 1200 when there is hardly anyone around?PS this was at the beach club not the main restaurant.

Played Korineum golf course in July... very poor condition... fairways covered in large quantities of sand, which had killed the grass. (NB this was NOT blown in... it had been dumped by the green-staff!) Impossible to play off said sand... it was so thick it was like a bunker! Not sure why they wanted to drown the grass, but they succeeded... such a shame because I've played here for the last 3 years and it was beautiful. Prices not worth it while the course is in such poor condition... Ask for discount or avoid!

This Hotel is great, service, food is top class and plenty of choice al fresco eating in the evening with wonderful views. Because there is nothing around, i.e. more hotels you get no noise and no traffic, natural and peaceful couldn't fault it and the staff are excellent and very friendly. Would recommend this Hotel very highly.

Four years since I last played here, until I returned earlier this month, and the prices have gone up considerably and the standards have gone down a little. The course remains a tight eighteen holes but for some reason they have reversed the majority of the outward and inward holes. First this means that you can't play yourself in as you could with the previous, relatively forgiving, start and second that the more interesting holes (the Valley, Besparmark and Vertigo) are over before the round has really begun. I do not understand the logic of these changes at all.If it is hot, all but the fittest will wish to take a buggy or electric trolley as the course is laid into, and up, the mountain range. Buggies are supposed to keep to the path, which we did, but we saw others driving all over the course including on holes nine and eighteen, so right in front of the club house, with no action taken by Korineum personnel. If this is allowed on a long term basis the excellent fairways will suffer. The course is protected by plenty of bunkers and narrow fairways bordered by treacherous rocks and thick and prickly undergrowth. If in any doubt whatsoever, hit a provisional. The changes in altitude also make for a great challenge tee to green.I cannot comment on the greens themselves as they had been hollow tine aerated with a large gauge. As a consequence we were offered a discount but with buggy hire, eighteen holes cost just shy of €80 and the extravagant full prices are available on their website. Oh, and prices are in Euros, so no taking advantage of the currently favourable, Sterling to Turkish Lira exchange either.Elsewhere, the changing rooms are already looking tired for a course charging these amounts, with marked walls and peeling paint in evidence. The bar / restaurant areas are well maintained, however, and it is here that you will find some excellent customer service and better value for money. Free, but intermittent, wi-fi is available here too. In fact, non golfers, would enjoy the balcony views to the sea or up to Five Finger Mountain as well as the views of the course and the reasonably priced food and drinks. An excellent nineteenth. In summary, I think the business suffers for having no real competition. Prices have got too high for what is being offered and some standards have slipped. And changing the order of the holes mystifies me. But it remains an excellent course and your only really option in Northern Cyprus so you’ll have to pay if you want to play ...!

Played 4 rounds, greens difficult to read, started rounds on 1st and 10th, starting on the 10th is more forgiving than the 1st. Fairways are very good. The 19th is great and as a party of 12, Fatma and her staff were most helpful, I rate this as excellent. We dined in the buffet restaurant only once, it was not to our taste, food not hot, and limited variety. Rate this as poor.

The Korineum Golf ,Tennis And Country Club, Is A jewel among Hotels in Northern Cyprus, Perched on Hills Not far away from Esentepe and Kyrenia one is treated to magnificent views of the mountains and Sea, 4 newly built Clay courts idea for interclub pre season Training also afford one a breathtaking view of the sea and mountains. The restaurant does buffets and the food is tastefully and imaginatively prepared with fish buffets and local food buffets presenting interesting musical Traditions Of Cyprus. The Prices are extremely reasonable and even more important the staff have mastered their profession to a T, They know all there is to know about wines and food and the competence and pride in what they do year in and year out makes one eager to come back for more. There Is also a beach club belonging to the Korineum and it is marvelous example of innovation =A grass Reclining area has been added above the beach with deck chairs and the combination of green and the blue sea are most welcoming,, changing rooms, showers and a snack bar are also on site.
