If you visit the Acropolis make sure you have at least looked at the map and you know where all the points of interest are located. There are maps as you enter the ruins at the top of the ramp. Several people have told me they went to the ruins but did not see certain areas including the theatre. This is a magnificent example of a theatre and well worth the visit.

It is a long walk to the top with very narrow steps and nothing to hold on to, but it is so worth the effort. My theory is don't look down while standing, but if I sit down and take in the views I am just fine. The views are amazing and the story is very interesting. Go Nd be careful.

No worries, you will definitely love the place. Just sit back and imagine, relive, feel...Watch the steps! It might be a little bit difficult if you hurry. Breathtaking place. Hope you will like it as we did.

The view from the theather is really just beautiful. Once your at the top of the theather you can imagine what it would have been like standing or sitting there in the past. Definately go there and take wonderful pics ... The area is quit big and wonderful to walk around. Its definately must see and go spot even if your passing by Bergama.

It would be great to be there when there is a concert etc. Beautifull views . A guide is a must.Be carefull as the steps are quite steep

Care should be taken when exploring the Theater as the gradient look deceptively gradual from afar. The best view from afar is at the edge of the Acropolis and while you can see that the depth is awesome, the gradient of the theatre seatings does not look so steep.The entrance of the theatre is from the Acropolis through a narrow doorway. Emerging from this stony boulder, you are suddenly standing at the very top of the theater and looking straight down all the way to the bottom where the stage was supposed to be. Suddenly, you will appreciate the precipitous steepness. But that is the single trump card of this site - this Hellenistic Theatre features a 10,000 seating which is the steepest of any known theatre in the world! Next, ask someone to descend to the bottom and deliver a speech or sing. You can really appreciate the acoustics of the antiquity while enjoying the magnificent view of the valley where the Sanctuary of Asclepius is located - priceless!

This theatre faces the cliff of the hill, and its very good view from here. This locates on the way of pergamon ruins, and near to pergman underground rooms. One of the best place to visit and photoshoot

Wow! Have never seen anything like it! I'm well informed by my son that when you sit at the top and people sing on the 'stage' below the acoustics are amazing and you can hear everything quite clearly. If you're not going to walk up it, make sure you go down the tunnel to sit at the top of the theatre!

The entrance to the theatre of Pergamon is from the upper Acropolis, this way you will find yourself on the upper rows of the Theatre. You can climb all the way down to the scene - it is if you do not suffer of vertigo, because the height is remarkable and there are no railings. But the views are astonishing and well worth the effort.
