Beautiful beach and lots of nice restaurants and clubs along the shore. Roughly 10 or 15 k out there is a beautiful set of caves call Haven and hell caves also worth seeing

The castle is in the walking range from Şenyuva where you may find several good small hotels.The road is paralel to the river Firtina and is mostly concerete. Make sure to be carefull, some parts of the road are open to rock fall.The castles is restorated by some means but some parts look to much concerete and unoriginal.(hope nature will fix it somehow) The sight seeing is real good. You may a have higher look to the area. If you want you may continue walking till Çat. There are two camping and hostal areas in Çat.They also serve as a restaurant.The cuisine and prices are real good.

We stayed in Kizkalesi last summer for three days, travelling there from Antalya in the West (grim journey - flight from Antalya to Adana, hair-raising taxi journey to station, several hours on a bus) - and arrived hot and tired on a late July afternoon in what appeared at first glance to be a sticky bomb site. Booked into the Yaka Hotel (very nice, good value, highly recommended).We were, I believe, the only foreign tourists in town. This is a holiday resort for residents of Adana, Mersin, Konya and surrounds. The beach is fantastic, the place buzzes at night in a nice family sort of way with no sleazy bars or clubs that we could see anyway, the castles (illuminated by night) are fantastic (we pedalloed out to the offshore one) and there are loads of interesting sites in the vicinity, all easily reachable by taxi - from Byzantine cities to the caves of heaven and hell. There's a necropolis the other side of the main road in which you can potter around, should you have the inclination. Lots of restaurants and gift shops; several ATMs, decent bus connections east and west. It might seem a bit tacky for some but it's a unique tackiness for all of that, with none of the drunken bufoonery and low level menace that haunts some English resorts on summer nights. We ate well in restaurants along the main road - about £25 for a meal for five. It gets more expensive the nearer you get to the beach. Worth the effort getting there.

but.... We stayed at the Club Barbarossa Hotel in mid May 2009. It was probably too early in the season for all facilities to be operational, but the recreation and pool area were attractive, and the gardens. We found our room a bit on the small side but with the balcony and outlook we had little to complain about. Dinner was a bit mixed and the Dining room could have done with a tidy up, with staff being a bit more helpful. Eating out is exceppent and cheap with plenty of choice. The beach adjoining the hotel is good sand and water shallow quite a long way out and ideal for children. The Club Beyra next door plase excellent turkish music, folksy etc., and is very pleasant to listen to in the late evening, but unfortunately they plan on until around 2.30am and is noisier as the evening progresses, as dancing ensues. Enjoyable stay in a Turkish hote, very different from a Thomsons or Thomas cook package, see 'Kizkalesi' for more details, very friendly place and full of history.

This beautiful castle is just off of the coast of KIZKALESI in the district of ERDEMLI to the West of Mersin in Southern Turkey. It is a most beautiful place. You can swim there (watch out for speed boats) or get a boat from the beach (we did not bother as they had put there prices up that day) but the main thing is to go to the coast and look at it. Spectacular.

Restorasyonu başarılı değil ama konumu ve manzarası harika görülmeli. Tüm vadiye hakim konumda. Yeşilliklerin arasında.Üst burçlara çıkıldıkça manzara daha da müthiş. Görülmeye değer.
