This is the most well preserved area and a must see in whole of Turkey. Hard to reach in the winter months and accessible from may till september, you won't be disappointed.

I can not understand how one can call this a national park. Nature has given all it can but there is almost no facility that you can eat or toilet you can use. There is a toilet but I wish I had not used it. One can get all sort of disease. there was no water nor toilet paper. Dirt was all around. how can you charge the entrance and do not supply the needs of human beings. I was happy to find water to drink. My grand sons were hungry and we could not find them food. so in simple words if you want to to pay a trip to that national park. Be prepared for beatiful nature and dirt. I will not have the courage to visit there in the near future.Other main issue is the terrible road. It took us almost three hours to reach there. that type of road does not represent the developments that we have achieved in recent years. those roads were normal in 1960's but not 2014.best regardsvisitor 56

Visit this place in fall as you can enjoy the splendid scenery. If you can go there on week days, it is more peaceful because there is no crowd. Use Mengen road to go there to enjoy the view but on the way back to İstanbul, take Bolu road as it is 60 km shorter than the other. It might the dangerous in winter or rainy& snowy days but it is worth once in a lifetime.

İ stayed for one night at the weekend. Enterance for the natural park is 10 tl ( 4 euros) and for camping 15 tl ( 6 euros). The road from Abant to yedigöller is dangerous and hard to drive. Must seen! Bring everything with you. There is a little market and wc only. Nowadays its cold but okey.

"Seven lakes" is a beautiful park where you can enjoy nature. It is a long way from civilization, about one hour from Bolu, down a stabilized gravel road. The forest ministry is working on redoing the road in cobblestone but only the last 5km are finished. There is a low entry fee. It is definitely worth visiting and hiking around the lakes. (There are really only six lakes as one is called "dry lake" and is more of a depression in the landscape.) There is a beautiful waterfall and camping and picnic areas. Be careful to leave with a full tank of gas, as there is absolutely nowhere to get gas any closer than Bolu, some 50 km away. You'll also want to bring food and beverages with you. Water and some nice toilet facilities are available, but that is about it. There is nowhere to buy food or any other necessities, so plan ahead.

Even in a snowless winter this park is a gem and it steals your heart with its colours... Very beautiful, makes you wonder how it looks in different seasons...

We decided to go on an excursion to Yedigöller National Park (which means Seven Lakes in Turkish) in November 2012. We reached there after a grueling drive from city of Bolu. It was a dirt forest road where you can not drive with a speed over 20 km/h. I think they intentionally do not build an asphalt road in order to keep the nature as it is. So it takes at least 2 hours to get there. On the way you may ask yourself if it is worth this trouble, but once you arrive there you do not regret your time spent driving and see why this place is a must-see. The basin was formed as a result that the land slided and blocked the valley. Here there are seven lakes interconnected with ground waters and surface flow. The Seven Lakes National Park is very popular among photographers especially during fall when the leaves start to change colors. There is no settlement around there. I saw some bungalows only. But many people were pitching their tents to stay the night. There are beech trees, oaks, horn beams, firs, spruces, alders and black pines in the area. They say there are some wild animals living in the area like red deer, roe deer, wild boar, brown bear, wolf, red fox, lynx, jungle cat, otter here. But I did not meet any of them.

We climbed a long way to reach the lakes, crossing grade roads for about 40 km and finally reached a breathtaking scenary which we would not forget. For any visitor, prepare to spend a full day in coming to here, staying in the area and have launch and then going back to your lodge (preferably in Bolu City).
