Even that you might be indifferent to porcelain, it is worth to visit this place in case of having a free time. Basically, this place is a factory, where some of its blocks still make famous Zsolnay porcelain. The rest of the Zsolnay factory's blocks were altered to keep different exhibitions as it happens in case of many factories around the world like Winzavod (a beer factory in past) in Moscow and Technopolis (gas factory in past) in Athens, where art works are exhibited. However, majority of the exhibitions in Zsolnay factory are actually related to Zsolnay products, but you can also find some ceramics and paintings sold by local people. The territory of the factory was also rebuilt to have children on its playgrounds.Make sure to have at least two hours of your free time to enjoy Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in peace because of too many exhibitions on its territory.

The Zsolnay ceramic influence can be seen all over Pecs, in the museum and in the many municipal buildings including the post office and city hall. Keep your eyes open and you'll soon notice Zsolnay's mark on this lovely Hungarian city. the museum is worth a visit. No photography inside the museum.

One day visit is enough to tour around all the exhibits in this artistic compound but best to buy a combination ticket and take note of opening hours...

The old city center of Pecs is beautiful and well worth a visit. The Zsolnay fountain is beautiful as are all the buildings in the square. Many lovely shops and out door restaurants to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax and people watch. There is a shop selling beautiful Hungarian porcelain well worth a visit.

Zsolnay is Pecs and vice versa. Its gorgeous ceramics adorn so many buildings and roofs in town, especially the famous Zsolnay fountain. So if you're in Pecs you have to visit the Zsolnay Center. The ceramic displays will delight you. It is worth the walk up to the mausoleum as well.. It is worth it to view the factory too. You get a combined ticket that allows you to visit various sections of the center. It is slightly on the outskirts but easily reached on the bus. I decided to walk back to town afterwards.

Beautifully renovated buildings, magical atmosphere, giant trees, nice garden, a lot of thing to do with or without children: planetarium, sportground, restaurants, theatre, concert hall, factory, and of course museums. Next to the main road 6, but in silence, very close to the city center. If you enter in, you'll forget the outside, it'll enchant you.Don't miss it if you're on Pécs!

It is a former porcelain manufactory plant, but this company made fairytale like building ceramics, therefore the venue is like a set of a fairytale. Worth to visit and spend nice time in the museums, partictipate in traditional creative industry manufacturing like gloves making, or baking, or ceramic making.
