The main street along with its various side streets and alleyways are full of old world charm. Cluttered with restaurants, galleries, boutiques - you name it and its there. The harbour and markets nearby you cannot go wrong. We came accross the early 18th century Franciscan Monastery on Street Edmondo De Amicis No22 which is a 5 minute pleasant uphill walk from the centre. It opens from 10am to 12 noon every day. Admission 10kuna (£1.10P) and incorporates a small museum and art gallery mainly of religious interest. This includes entry to the magnificent church/chapel which is still used daily. It really is worth the visit. One of the crypts has a huge nativity crypt with Bethlehem in the background. One of the largest and best I have seen.Yes the main street and surrounding area to me is a magical and vibrant place not to be missed.

It's really nice, like the rest of this beautiful city. Lots of shops, lots of caffes.. It's rally great to take a walk there!

Simply a must while visiting Rovinj. Walk through the old centre, you don't have to buy anything, window shopping will do just fine. Have a coffee, an ice cream and be sure to have enough time for an easy walk.

Less commercialised than I expected! Some genuine local souvenirs (but not very good quality!) Watch the cobbles - trip hazards!

Full of shops, trestaurants, galleries and people in a medieval townwith just a perfect atmosphere day or evening. The food market at the end of the street is well worth a visit as is the main port. Cobbled narrow streets running towards the cathedral full of unforgettable charm.Very well worth exploring the small areas around. You always see something different.
