the ticket was 100 HRK (15€), but the view is worth of every cent :D give it a try... not sure that the same price is in the summer (June, July, August)

Once in Dubrovnik, you should really try it! it is very easy to get to departing point, and it takes only a couple of minutes to get by cable car to the top of the mountain. Tip - I've been told to rather go in the afternoon, cause of the crowds, and I really ddin't wait long for my ride.

The views from the top make using the cable car a worthwhile thing to do. While you're up there visit the museum to learn more about the heroic effort to keep Dubrovnik safe in the war.It was a clear, sunny day when we visited and so you could see for miles. Breathtaking.

The Dubrovnik Cable Car is definitely one of the best attraction in the city, but not the cheapest one. As I remember I paid around 14 Euro for one ticket. Well, it seems like a little bit too much, but... the panoramic view from the mount is just amazing, so it was totally worth it!

Although the start of the trail is a little tucked away, hiking up Mt Srdj is the best way to take in its stunning views. The rocky track consists of hairpin after hairpin up the steep hillside. Each corner offers a more breathtaking views than the last, and it gets better all the way to the top. We visited on a sublime day yet the track was uncrowded and, in my books, beats the cable car any day. It will take anything from 20 minutes to complete the climb, depending on your level of fitness - it's no stroll in the park so be sure to wear appropriate footwear as there are loose rocks and the trail is relatively steep. If you're looking for something active, away from the crowds, and free, you can't go wrong. As for the views - you have to see it to believe it

The cable car is (Dec 2014) 13 eur and if you combine with the museum ticket, 20 eur. On a sunny day, however, you can simply find the hiking trail to the top. It's not a difficult hike and it wil take you 30-40 minutes. Make sure to bring good boots. As you go up, unforgettable views can be photographed and if you start climbing 1hr before dark, the sunset from the top is fantastic. The museum is also interesting, despite the building being in a decrepit state. To go back, you can take the road (bring a flashlight) and hitchhike back to town.

Cable car was too pricey for us, plus my fear of heights, so we went with a car up to the top. For those wanting to do the same, from the main road called Magistrala, going South, after you pass Dubrovnik, on the left side look for a yellow sign Bosanka, turn there onto what it seems one way side street since very narrow, and follow it to the top. The view is so spectacular!! Also there is a caffee and a restaurant with the open terrace with prices a bit higher but equal to the location I would say. Inside the building, where the cablecar is coming, there are toilets and souvenir shop. There is also an old Forth from Napoleon's time with a museum with photographs from the civil war 1990's and Dubrovnik. The parking was free at the time we were there but who knows for the future. This view is a must to see while in Dubrovnik!!Enjoy!

Oh my god the view was amazing at the top! We went up around 3:30pm, and the sun was starting to set, which just made the view even more unrealistically beautiful. My only regret is that if I went up earlier, i would have been able to walk down rather than take the cable car down, because it would have been wonderful to see the views changing over the course of the down-climbing. And dont miss the last cable car down at 5pm! If you miss that one, the only other option in the dark might be taxi!

We did the cable car ride on a clear day - views are great - no long queues ( although this was the last week in October and also fairly early in the morning). Would recommend. Breathtaking views once at the top - also visited the fortress and museum while at the top.

Bit of a queue at the entrance, but worth the wait. Need to have a clear day. Coffee at the top is great and the loos worked well and we're well serviced.
