Located right on the main road, this old milling village still functions (can also be viewed from the parking area above). The tour is at your own pace, the map is located on the back for your ticket. Just remember that you are walking thru someone backyard or garden while visiting. Even though the main road runs right above the village, we didn't hear a peep due the amount of water rushing over the falls. There's a restaurant which had some yummy looking items, unfortunately we had just eaten, bad timing on our part. We were lucky we arrived and had the place to ourselves. But the waitress told us they too have busloads of tourists arriving. Worth parking and taking a closer look!

We noticed this beautiful village on the way to Plitvice and are so happy that we spent some time there. This is a special spot. This village's history as a mill town and the beauty of the waterfalls around every corner make it unique. Waterfalls under the bridges, the homes, and under the bars (Vodena Ovca) were an unexpected delight and photo opportunity!

This is just only a distance of less than two hours from Plitvice and very small old town on the clear water or brook. It used be a town of mill and still they perform how to make bread from the scratch . The back and front yards of every house is crystal clear shallow stream,

We had a great feast of fresh trout done in many different ways. Each of us had a different way of preparing the trout. Each way was excellent. In slunj a must visit if you enjoy fresh fish!
