It's one of the very few and by far the most relaxing place to visit in Petrozavodsk. Although the sculptures look somewhat "postnuclearwar" they may be fun (each has an author's idea behind it - may sure you find out before you go). It's not exactly a year-round place, as it may get very windy and cold. In summer though (especially at sunset) the scenery is breathtaking.

Walk along the lakeside, fun sculptures, quiet ( at least on a early Sunday morning) and then you'll come to the hydrofoil ticket buying spot. There are also some quick food and water buying kiosks, and of course the ubiquitous souvenir shops.

Beautiful area to walk, sit, relax, view the lake, and check your email (the Park and Embankment has 'free wi-fi' that works well)! The sculptures are very interesting to view. There are also some exercise machines that you can utilize for free. There was a heavy rainstorm when i visited, accompanied by wind, and i still enjoyed it; that should tell you something about how nice it is to see.Jon Lefeber

Park and Lake Onega embankment create vibe of freedom, space and beauty of the city on the shores of a huge lake

A must see if you are in the city, it has a fantastic view on Onega-lake. It is about 30 min walk from the train station to the pier, where you can book a ticket to a number of boat tours..

It's the best place in Ptz. At the Embankment you can have cool rest, see interesting presents from different sister-towns. You'll breath with fresh lake air. Bite some food.

Nice views over the lake and some interesting monuments along the way. popular spot even in bad weather.

Самое интересное место в городе для неспешных прогулок. Дорога идёт вдоль озера с необычными скульптурами, скамейками для отдыха. К сожалению, нет кафе и туалетов. Только кафе у причала, которые были закрыты в марте.

Очень красиво и сказочно. Даже зимой вид просто завораживающий. Оригинальные статуи, можно шепнуть на ухо желание.

Были в Петрозаводске 21-23 февраля. На набережной организовали праздник. Но посещение праздника превратили в кошмар для гостей. Кругом подтаявший лёд, огромные лужи, невыносимо скользко! Центральный проспект Ленина-- тихий ужас! Из за льда, посыпанного чем то чёрным (и это нечто чёрное сильно экономили) скорость передвижения составляла 200 метров в час-- т.к. боишься не только упасть, но и навсегда испортить свою одежду об это чёрное. Ничего не удалось рассмотреть, т.к. всё внимание было только под ноги. Позор мэру и все городским службам!
