I lived in Yaroslavl for several months just down the street from this museum, but it was only when I recently returned to the city for a quick visit that I actually took the time to stop in. Prices are a bit steep by Russian standards, although I suppose this must have something to do with the fact that it's a 'private' museum and perhaps government funding is lacking. There are three main rooms inside - lots of instruments, phonographs, clocks, and bells, with bits of ephemera scattered throughout. The staff lead you from room to room and personally demonstrate the instruments, which was quite interesting. Helps if you're into music, of course. If you only have a day or two in Yaroslavl I'd suggest you plan your visit around other attractions, but this museum is quite novel in its own right and worth a visit once you've hit up all of the big sights.

Visited the palce on a national holiday which means packs of entertainment-hungry tourists in the streets. The museum has 3 tiny rooms filled with amazing things, but on a busy day one doesn't really get any time to explore it. Once inside, you are to follow a group guide through the rooms and the whole experience ends after some 20 minutes. You are invited to go on with another giude if you joined yours in the middle, but don't expect any more than 2 minutes of free time per room. Bottom line, try to go there in the middle of the day, not on holiday - you might get a chance to really enjoy this unique collection.

Original and interesting.Small museum, interesting. But not the first visit to do in my opinion...We had the time to do so...

This museum is unique and has a lot of neat old instruments and clocks. When you go on the tour they show, explain the history, and play the different instruments. The staff are passionate about music and time pieces and it conveys well. The museum is based on the private collection of one individual who works as a magician. Fascinating, fun place right on the embankment.

Small but packed with exhibits. Really has to be experienced - especially at 3pm when they do something really cool downstairs... I won't spoil your surprise!

Небольшой, но очень интересный музей. Всегда есть экскурсии, и вам всё подробно расскажут и даже сыграют на музыкальных инструментах. Интересная и очень редкая коллекция. Абсолютно необычный музей.

Любопытно, но стоимость экскурсии, на мой взгляд, завышена. Экскурсии проводят в трёх залах: музыкальных инструментов, утюгов и колокольчиков. Экскурсоводы демонстрируют игру большинства граммофонов и музыкальных шкатулок. Народу набивается очень много, комнатки маленькие, но в целом всё видно и слышно.

Окунулись в старину. Послушали музыку.Очень люблю граммофоны. Здесь увидела очень интересные экземпляры. Получила огромное удовольствие.

Очень занимательный музей! Понравится как взрослым, так и детям. Небольшой, всего 3 зала, посещение только с экскурсией, стоимость взрослого билета - 180 руб., работают с 10 до 19 ежедневно, кроме вторника. Интересная коллекция: патефоны, граммофоны, музыкальные шкатулки, часы, колокола, утюги: все в рабочем состоянии, все можно послушать. Экскурсия небольшая, но познавательная и совсем нескучная. Все можно послушать, потрогать.

Советую посетить этот частный музей. Цена не велика. Главное - экскурсовод будет с вами даже если вы пришли один. Как это было со мной. Разрешают фотографировать бесплатно.
