The Golden Gate is a symbol of Vladimir. it is impossible not to meet it when you arrive in this city because it's located in a cross of important roads. Very impressive is its picture of Christ that seems to look at the visitor.

Even though it was originally built in the 12th century, it was taken apart and put together again under Catherine the Great in the 18th century as it was falling apart when she led her army through the city.
