The newly renovated opera house is very beautiful. The Tatar motives and gold and red theme is a nice environment for attending a play or opera. We went to see the barber of Seville today. The play was with a real orchestra sitting in the in a sunken part in front of the stage. Very comfortable seats and great acoustics. The opera house is usually fully booked and it is recommended to book a long time in advance.

Kazan people are true art lovers with high level of intellect for the music and arts. KAzan Opera House is the home for most of the famous ballets, opears, musical exhibitions and premiers. The House itself is located in central KAzan, a magnificant looking building outside; and several art artifacts inside that surrounds you in a magical way while you are in whatever event in. The docerations, oil paintings, different saloons are worth visiting. The venue of the events is like small Bolshai Theater in Moscow

Very beautiful and classical building inside and outside. Try to attend to a performance during your stay in Kazan. Well worth while, and tickets are surprisingly cheap - usually everything in Russia is heavily overpriced and way ahead of the service. Here it is the other way round - great !

It's the great place to see ballet or to listen to Opera. Decoration inside is greatfull-marmor, granite, gilt and crystal chandeliers. String ensemble playing in the lobby during intermission. There are a few coffee shops and cafes. Price for show is excellent low. Opera house is situated on Freedom Squaire, it's about 10 minutes by feet from Kremlin.

A dream come true - to see Russian ballet in Russia. Absolutely incredible in this magnificent opera house which is quite fascinating and full of history. A must see!

Ура, осуществила давнюю мечту- попала на Шаляпинский фестиваль, а это нелегко, т.к живу не в Казани, беру билеты он-лайн, друзей напрягать не хочется. в кассах-очереди. В прошлом году опаздала с покупкой билетов, в этом раз взяла билеты в начале декабря, и все получилось. Наслаждались "Аидой" и "Кармен", восторг! Музыка, постановка, голоса исполнителей главных партий, массовые сцены, богатые декорациии - все впечатляет! Я неискушенный зритель оперы, поэтому для меня все было волшебным. Жаль, что неказанцы практически лишены возможности попасть на этот фестиваль, можно было часть билетов отдавать в другие города республики, все же нужно нести культуру в народ, но никто в этом не заинтересован.

Прозанимавшись балетом 10 лет в прошлом, научилась ценить выворотность, постановку поз, пластику, и профессионализм постановщика. В этом театре все это было в избытке. И грация, и легкость, и красота расстановки. Плюс в Казани есть своя балетная школа. И в спектакли они привлекают малышей оттуда. Очень приятно видеть таких ответственных пятиклашек! А вот девицы лет 13-14 полноваты)))В общем, идите - не пожалеете! Ну и интерьеры тоже роскошные. Только вот есть специально обученные теточки, которые как церберы следят, куда ты сел, свое ли место занял, и вообще "ты кто такой и чего пришел"...)))Зато можно спокойно при аншлаге купить "входной" билет за 50р (а так минимальный стоит 800 с посадочным местом). Так вот, за 50 р вы смотрите РОСКОШНУЮ постановку с самого завидного места - с 4 (четвертого!) этажа. правда, стоя))) попозже можно подойти к той же теточке-церберцу и ласково попросить куда-нибудь вас пристроить...посадят с почестями, если скажете, что вы - гость, и что у них самый лучший и красивый театр)))Да! Из плюсов: во всех Казанских театрах свой АБСОЛЮТНО чиповый и вкусный буфет! "Чтобы люди ели" - сказали нам в ответ на вопрос "Почему у вас пирожки по 30 р, а не по 90?"
