It's a place there orthodox Christians going to pray, so tourist infrastructure is a pretty weak.There are lot of souvenir shops, but only 3 extremely overclouded places which sells food.And this is a 'lent'-like food. No meat, no diary. And all the small restaurants around in 1 km radius have the same menus.Basically, if you want to see beautiful building you can do it in 40-60 minutes. Do all the photoshots, see everything.It's better to combine visit to Diveyevo with visit to Arsamas, and small villages n the road from Arzamas to Diveyevo. There are many old churches on this 30 km road.There is a parking in Monastery, but it closed even for a buses with tourists.So all the roads around Monastery covered with illegally parked cars. But nobody cares (no fee for that)If you have spiritual things in mind prepare to wait. Like 5 hours in line to get into cathedral.There are many places around which rents a bed for a night. Some of them have parking.

It`s a long drive from Nizhny, when I say long I mean it, over 3 hrs when your driver knows the way, and taxi alone may exceed 150 USD I guess)) there `s a lot of beautiful landscapes in the summertime to look at and the ancient town of Arzamas to drop in on your way...make sure you know where to have food when you come, otherwise this is plain countryside with just one good hotel Diveevo Sloboda, and looking back I`d say it probabbly makes sense to go have food in the hotel than get it arranged elsewhere somehow. I`m not saying pilgrims are not welcome, they are, and come there in crowds by intercity buses so be ready for queuing, especially to see and touch St.Seraphim relicts... ladies, more than any other orthodox place in Russia , are required to wear a long skirt and a scarf of some kind - you can keep both in your handbag and produce when needed, pulling over your shorts. Inside the monastery, which by tha way has a nice garden, you can`t really take pictures so if you do please make sure noone sees it, i mean local clergy, they are rather strict, or rather.. prefer a little extra money in fines and penalties, you can`t really blame them for that... the ambiance is ok unless you do something wrong (talking loud, speaking English, no scarf, wrong queueing, wrong questions to the wrong people) so be as humble as you can, this is pilgrimage after all and they take it serious.. what is really worth doing if you are a believer is after your monastery tour go drive a few minutes away to the holyb springs and bathe there, they say you`ll be blessed. it`s free, you may need a plastic bottle to get some holy water with you and probably some extra gown to change for bathing. There are two options- a crowded open air pool and a spring kept in a pagoda sort of thing, i personally think private is better. So pilgrims welcome)) P.S. If you are not ready to travel that far from Nizhny and still be blessed, there is another local saint, a hermit of Pechory monastery well preserved in the old monastery church, just 20 min away from the Kremlin. Ask for the Old Pechory Church. The church is in a poor condition and would be happy with humble donations. No crowd over there.

Одно из самых душевных мест, где доводилось побывать. Обязательно надо брать обзорную экскурсию в Паломническом центре, чтобы понимать где и чего необходимо посмотреть. Мы были в марте, паломников немного. Говорят, летом очереди к Мощам и Чудотворным Иконам по часу-два, не все в Храм войти могут. Мы стояли не более 3 минут.

Святое место не может не понравится! Там ты чувствуешь себя как заново рожденный! Впечатления не передаваемые! Главное верить в то, что всё возможно!

Езжу в Дивеево периодически для посещения монастыря. Кто побывал в нем один раз,тот будет всегда туда возвращаться. Монастырские службы и хождение по Канавке Пресвятой Богородицы дают душе новую жизнь, обновляют ее, каждый раз понимаешь что-то новое, начинаешь видеть себя и мир по-другому как-то.

Ездили с мужем в конце января 2015 года. Приехали в Арзамас-1 (поездом) уже вечером, на вокзале предложили такси за 100 рублей довезли до ТЦ "Метро". Там каждый час едут маршрутки Нижний Новгород- Саров. На маршрутке за 250 рублей доехали до Дивеева (попросили остановить у сельсовета), вышли это прямо напротив Монастыря. Улица Арзамасская. Гостиницы ( мини) на каждом шагу. Зашли в первую же на Арзамасской 29/1 "Родничок" там комнат 8 все четырехместные, некоторые с телевизором , некоторые без.мы жили в первой комнате, окна выходят прямо на Троицкий собор! Чудо! В комнате иконы. Тепло. Скромно, ничего лишнего, даже шкафа нет, только открытая вешалка, кровати, тумбочки, стол, кровати. В коридоре рядом туалет, душ, кухня с холодильником, плитой, посудой и т. д. Летом, думаю, будет здорово на большом балконе-веранде, выход на него из общего коридора. Стоит 1 место 500 рублей. Жили вдвоем ( зима, не выходные). На этаже только две комнаты были заняты (не сезон! ). До монастыря и источников рукой подать. Все очень понравилось!

МЕсто действительно святое, чувствуется мощная энергетика этого места. Все чисто, ухожено, ароматы от цветущих растений опьяняют...

Дивное место. Отстояли службу, приложились к мощам преп.Серафима, устроились в хорошей монастырской гостинице (за 200р.) и пошли на источники. Окунулись в источнике матушки Александры Дивеевской и источнике в честь Казанской иконы Божьей матери. Вечером опять пошли на службу, прогулялись по канавке Пресвятой Богородицы и пошли спать...
