The stadiums are huge and impressive, but the highlight of our visit to the Olympic Park was experiencing the light show and orchestral music which accompanied the dancing water in the musical fountain, this was truly a moving performance and a wonderful lifetime memory of our visit to Russia!

We've been there during winter olympics, it is small and really nothing interesting. It already turned to a ghost village.

The area might be all right in winter during the games, but in the early September it was scorching hot with not a tiny little spot of shade to cool a little. Luckily for us we got a canope'd bike ride from local guide, around the plaza by each building in turn. Buildings are set in huge circle with the fountain and Olimpic torch as the starting point. The brand new square was already dug and fenced for the Racing Way, some kind of NASCAR, we understood. Buildings looked empty and abandoned. Paid portable bathrooms in the far away corner, free bathroom at the Iceberg Performance Center. Very cold at the Ice Skating hall, especially in contrast to the scorching heat outside. I wouldn't recommend this tour separately, but as a part of bigger tour it might work. As we witnessed Salt Lake Winter Olympics in 2002, I must say we were disappointed by neglected facilities left behind by this historic event.

The Sochi Autodrom is easily accessed either by the electric train - which is painfully slow or by bus. Didn't see much car parking access and roads get busy just like any other GP.There are food vendors about the circuit and in the Main Grandstand (MGS) there are better food choices at the numerous outlets on each floor. It also has a fully equipped Medical Centre. Viewing from the other grandstands is good and the majority of true race fans elected for the lower priced seats in those ones. Not much General Access areas. Majority of those in the MGS seemed to ahve more interest in taking picture of themselves overlooking the pits or drinking beer and chatting with fans whilst taking no interest in the race at all and regularly blocking the view of those who did. Attendants tried hard to keep the walk ways free but often with no authority to move people along. More annoying was when they cleared the walkways and then started to prance about taking 'selfies' in the very spots they have moved fans from! This was very poor PR in my opinion. RECOMMENDATION: Sochi Autodrom needs to install TV Screens in the MGS so that people can keep updated on the track action whilst enjoying a beer/sandwich.The medal plaza had some F1 events taking place and this included a concert area. Under the 'flame' there are some nice fountains which were linked up to popular Russian Classical Music pieces to give so fabulous free displays when there was no action on the track. The Swan Lake combination was truly lovely. The park is huge and their is now a theme park with some awesome roller coasters but think these are at an additional fee. Too much respect for my heart to try one!On racedays there are volunteers to help you find your way about but its pot luck whether you will get one who speaks any English. For 100 roubles you can take a ride on one of the electric golf carts which whizz about the place and will whisk you from the main entrance down to the F1 Village. Worth it for the fun element and the fact it saves you a walk in the heat. Please note prices of the F1 Memorabilia is very expensive approx £50 for a baseball cap that you can buy in Europe from official website for £27.1st race was very boring as limited overtaking available. When President Putin arrived lots of people in the MGS tried to migrate down to the section of the stand opposite him - needed some security to 'police' this as it was very distracting.Allow extra time for the security at the entrance as everyone arrives and leaves at the one point and queues will build up at busy times. The pit lane walkabout on Thursday was poorly supervised making it dangerous as volumes of big strong Russian blokes squeezing everyone forward. Hillsborough sprung to mind.Overall rating is Very good - MGS is very modern and the best Grandstand I have ever watched a race from. They need to sort out the supervising issues. If they want to attract non Russians to the event then more English speakers need to be available as English is a World Language.

Many olympic venues to see and take pictures. Open trams, a few of which are wheelchair accessible. Bicycle rental (quite expensive).

Strange having Winter Olympics in a summer resort! The view is impressive, but the stadia are not open for visiting. We have seen it when it's relatively new, before it has a chance to deteriorate. The flags around the olympic flame are a great sight also.

You will never understand the sheer scale, the grandeur of this park until you visit. I don't care how much all those stadiums cost - they were worth every pound (or rouble!). The closing ceremony of the Paralympics was one of those events that stays with you for a long, long time. Olympic Torch is beautiful and I can't wait to see the F1 here later in the year. Mr Putin, you did a good job!

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit (working) this place during the Olympics & Paralympics (winter 2014)The facilities were great, I loved the stadiums and the people were very helpful generally, it felt very strange to be in a seaside resort for the winter games (I guess Vancouver was the same though).I'd recommend a visit to the Olympic village and up the mountain cluster (Krasnaya Polyana) where the snow sports took place, simply beautiful and all very well connected.

I was feeling very proud, walking between so much beautiful sport palaces.Where are lot of spot to take a nice pictures. But at the time of my visit all the park was separeted by a lot of fences, which made obstacles to go from one site to another, So you should have walked hundreds additional meters to reach a next building or spot or place to be.So when you planning your visit to the Olympic park you should expect going around fences.
