We spent less than a day in Omsk and this church was the only spot we visited, but it was worth it. The beautiful mix of colors made it one of our favorite churches in Russia. We didn't go inside though.

Whatever reasoning might be behind these magnificent edifices in Russia, they are a major attraction and a fantastic delight for the eyes of the traveler. Even the small villages have great looking cathedrals. Omsk Cathedral is a wonder on its own...

Someone going in to the cathedral pointed out which door to use so we were able to stand quietly at the back and watch a service. A spectacular building on the outside and lovely Russian orthodox decoration inside.

you will see this cathedral if you spend any time in omsk as it is at the city center. The building is beutiful from the outside and inside just be mindful that girls must cover their heads to go inside but they have scarves there if you forget. We got to go up to the bell tower and hear them rehearse. It takes 3 people to operate the bells in the tower.

Самое первое место, которое мы посетили в Омске, был Успенские собор. Он нереально красив, просто нет слов. Завораживает архитектура и убранство собора.

Очень красиво, крестили нас одних в зале. Много нам уделили времени, теперь крестить поедем только сюда.

просто супер!!! старый город! всегда прекрасен! город конечно маленький но есть где погулять и что посмотреть!

Так нельзя, всё блестит, сверкает, иконы, свечи, золото. В библии всё это запрещено. Это всех церквей касается, но эта пафоснее других.
