We were there today. Seen in this web, seems some foreigners went there, paid 4 euros (50uah) for the guided tour. BUT we were charged 100 UAH for each, although on the ticket, it says 50 UAH instead of 100! WHY? Just because we are foreigners? And the tour guide speaks English? Why others paid 4 euro? I liked the tour, BUT I felt cheated!!

I was there a week ago. It is really nice place, calm and peaceful. There is a museum inside the castle - the Museum of a home icon. It collection contains more than 1000 icons. If you take a guide, you will know many interesting facts of Radomysl's history and exhibits of the museum. It's really interesting to see how icons from different parts of Ukraine vary. You can also ascend to the top of the castle and observe the lands all around. For those, who want to stay for longer than just one day, there is a hotel with rooms decorated in medieval style. In general, nice place; go there and enjoy!

The place is some 120 km away from Kiev westbound. The roads in town of Radomysl were under repair/reconstruction (as of October 2013) so the shortest way to the venue might be closed. You may need to ask for directions.My partner brought me to this place as a birthday gift, so it was already pleasant.Paper mill offers paper making lesson at a reasonable fee, which is totally worth it - you can use all the old equipment yourself and make yourself a sheet of hand-made paper as a souvenir. My guess is that getting this lesson in English might be difficult. Private collection of Ukrainian icons is absolutely fascinating even though I am not an expert in art. Beautiful works. Restaurant offers excellent home made Ukrainian food, If my memory is fine we paid ca. UAH 170.- (USD 20.-) per person per lunch. Do not expect standard restaurant service in this place - it's not that they are rude or arrogant - they lack the experience and training but they are nice and sincerely try their best to serve you well.At the time of our visit the building was NOT well heated. If you go there in cold season make sure to have some extra warm clothes.The place also have a mini hotel for those who's willing to stay overnight (that's what we did). The hotel is nice (freshly renovated) with two notes: heating may be a problem (as mentioned already) and there is virtually zero sound insulation. Cannot say anything about English skill of the staff - did not check it.

Вместе с мужем провели День Влюбленных( 14.02.15) в Замке. Прекрасное место , прекрасный отель,удивительная атмосфера в замке. Очень приветливый и с удовольствием делающий свое дело персонал.Продуманная программа выходных дней.А ужин в каминном зале у камина при свечах , под живые звуки рояля и скрипки - это что-то невероятное!!!Огромное спасибо за такой праздник!Обязательно вернемся летом -природа там потрясающая . Приводит в волнение огромное собрание домашних икон.Спасибо Ольге Богомолец за работу, проделанную для создания этого украинского шедевра . Спасибо!!!

Хотел давно поехать посмотреть на замок. Экскурсия стоит 265 грн., уже думал взять и поехать....но...почитав в интернете как можно добратся туда самому, решил поехать сам. Ходит маршрутка от м. Житомирская, стоит 40 грн., ехать 1-1.10, приезжает она автостанцию, откуда можно дойти пешком за 40-45 мин., или доехать на маршрутке №2, но она ходит раз в час. Сам вход в замок стоит 50 грн. Итог 130 грн, замисть 265 грн.По самому замку можно гулять очень долго, есть место для фотографий. Экскурсовод очень интересно рассказывала историю замка, как он был построен, про иконы, есть папирня, где показуют сам процесс как делается бумага.Место стоит того что бы поехать и увидеть всю мощь замка....

Потрясающее место, сочетающее в себе - музей домашней иконы и старинной домашней утвари, музей книгопечатания, прекрасный парк, реку, небольшой водопад, часовню, трапезную. Мы были там неделю назад и у меня еще свежи положительные эмоции от посещения этого места. Мы провели там около 4 часов. Это была экскурсия по территории комплекса и музея, мастер-класс для моего ребенка по созданию новогодней игрушки, обед в трапезной. Помещение этого замка полностью отреставрировано, судя по фотография - "до и после" - работа там проделана колоссальная. Возможно для желающих заказать мастер-класс по созданию бумаги ( по технологии, которая применялась в старину в Киево-Печерской Лавре). Нам сказали, что если подняться на колокольню, позвонить в колокол и загадать желание, оно обязательно сбудется. С высоты колокольни открывается вид на остров влюбленных - маленький островок в форме сердца на территории замка. Кстати в трапезной мы тоже пообедали - очень достойная еда за умеренные деньги. Но основное - это музей домашней иконы. Прекрасная коллекция, выставленная на обозрение людям. С удовольствием вернемся весной, чтобы посмотреть все это в зелени и цветах.
