I have watched the cathedral slowly being restored to its original magnificence since 1995 when I first visited. Architecturally, it is magnificent. Spiritually, it is the center of the Greek Catholic Church in western Ukraine. Celebrate Mass there, then stay around to absorb its history.

Wonderful time to visit. Many Mass celebrations with singing and services held more often. Only watch out for the ice on the inclined drive from the street to the stairs and entrance to the Cathedral. Not a problem in spring/summer. Cobblestone drive can be slick. Inside is inspirational and the catacombs are open to view.

Greek Catholic Cathedral of Saint Yura- rokokovyy magnificent architectural ensemble of the XVIII century dominates the high hill over Lviv, beautifully combined with the urban landscape. We visited the cathedral on Christmas Eve, when there were preparing for the night service and television broadcasting. The church interior is impressive richness and diversity of iconography. Cathedral symbolizes that the Ukrainian land bridge was the union of great achievements of Christian culture and spirituality two branches: the Byzantine East and the Latin West. One of the most beautiful cathedrals in Lviv!

Walking down Horodotska St, we decided to stop in the Cathedral. Well worth the uphill walk on snow. Inspiring and beautiful, inside and out.

On a hill above the city center, this beautiful Baroque building is the seat of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Spectacular outside and in, with a lot of history attached.

Cathedral of incredible beauty. Very energetic locality. Even a large number of tourists does not distract from contemplation of the cathedral.

It is one of the largest and the most beautiful cathedrals in Lemberg. Built in barocco style, it is visited by lots of different people. Even if you're not the church-fan, I strongly advice you to visit this place. The location is also good - not far from the citycentre and the largest university of Lemberg.

This church is a must see for anyone visiting Lviv. Beautifully restored and inspiring interior. The gift shop should be visited if you want to purchase icons in the Eastern style.
