You need a tram, taxi or a bit long walk to reach there.. İt has peaceful enviroment nice atmosphere.. Try to visit there on a sunny day its even better..

It is actually open-air museum. Plan to stay here at least for couple of hours. Probably more.There is admission fee but it is pretty low.There is even running church but it is far from entrance. My advice is to find it and visit.People who look after buildings with pleasure tell you details. Don't hesitate to ask them.It happens some fests happen there. Admission fee is higher in these days but it is nothing comparing to amount of performances taking place there. Varies from master-classes (dances, bow shooting, crating) and up to opportunity to try authentic drinks and meals (considered safe, was checked personally :-) ).

Visit on a sunny weekend or during festivals, when the place is most lively with celebrations and craft making demonstrations. If you are lucky to speak some Ukrainian or Russian, ask questions to the guides who are there at the museum's houses - about how ancestors lived, history, use of houses.

The park is a walk through history, a living museum. Homes were brought in from all over the country to be set up geographically through the park. Try to come during festival times where you can see demonstrations of weaving, ceramics, smithing and much more. Plan on spending the day.

if ur on your own is ok but better if you r with friends or especially with a family and kids. Nice weather for this is a must otherwise you wont enjoy it as you should. So, the place is like a huge piece of land with woods and ponds lost in time. You'll get into atmosphere of those times while passing and checking the real houses brought from different places. Ancient church, houses, burns, farms, windmill and many other things you will find. There'is freshly cooked food to buy on little fair and honey straight from the combs and bees doing their business under the glass so you can watch and many many entertainments you can spend time with or just having a picnic somewhere out of everybody's sight or strolling around. You need couple of hours to check everything out but the more time you have the better.

Being a person that likes old things when I saw the first structure I was amazed. The pleasant walk through the park was lined with different kinds of structures from the rural past of Ukraine. The school house with the kneeling bench used for punishment, kneeling of pebbles. The thatched roof on one of the building was amazing. If you have time this is a must visit while in Lviv. The past is brought alive in such a real way. If I have an opportunity to visit again I will take the English speaking tour to really understand the history better.

Летом там можно гулять и валяться на полянке:)А зимой - там в домишках есть различные развлечения. В одном - кузнец скует вам счастье:) В другом, гуцульская семья споёт вам песню:) В третьем - покажут как добывают масло.Возле большой деревянной церкви в глубине Гая - гуляния, ярмарка и колядки:)

Очень неплохой скансен. Приветливый персонал. Жаль, что не хватает табличек с описанием объектов. Стоит обязательно посмотреть деревянный костел из польского села в Карпатах.Он стоит на отшибе.
