What a nice place to visit. Randers Regnskov has definitely a lot to offer. Great place for families with kids. Totally worth to go there and have fun and see animals and artificially created environment for them :)

Best example of rainforest/zoo I've ever been to.From watching the piranhas eat a rat (in seconds) to being investigated by the free roaming marmosets etc this place is exciting, informative and all round fun. Very hot on a sunny day though.

We come in Randers Regnskov all the time. We're a family with kids (girls 4 and 6 years old) and every time we don't know what to do a weekend, the girls asks to go to Randers Regnskov. The three domes (South America, Africa and Asia) is filled with animals and it's a sport to see who find which animals first. Some of the species we rarely see (like the Hyrax or the Sumatran Prevost's Squirrel) and others we see every time (like the Fruit Bats or the Goeldi's Marmoset), but there are always lots of animals to admire.During the summer a large playground is available and our kids can use an entire day there. In the same area you'll find farm animals of old Danish species. If you want to eat in Randers Regnskov you can bring your own packed lunch and enjoy it either outdoor or in a designated area. All year round you can have fast food, but it's rather expensive and not that great. Totally edible, but nothing special - I've heard that they have changed some of the menu for the 2015 season, so perhaps an improvement is on it's way. In the summer there is a nicer restaurant out by the playground. We've been there a couple of years ago, so I don't know how it is now. The guides are always helpful and ready to answer any questions you might have. They prepare a lot of the food for the animals in the public areas, so they're easy to find.A couple of advice:Bring water. It's quite expensive and you'll need it.You can borrow a carrier for the babies and small strollers for the toddlers - so leave the large pram in the car. You'll not be able to walk all the paths with a stroller.Wear sturdy shoes/sandals. The paths are not entirely even - stilettos are not a great idea.Bring a change of clothes for the kids during the summer - the might get wet on the playground. We can warmly recommend a trip to the rainforest in Randers.

It's a lovely atmosphere inside the rainforest. The staff are helpful, the facilities are well maintained, the animals are varied and seem to be very well looked after. It's cozy rather than spectacular and is bursting with charm. The only criticism would be the animal signs. They are outdated. They give the animals name and basic info. They could do a lot more to interact with their guests. Things like learning books, spot the animals or 10 things to find out during your visit etc

We been to the rainforrest 2-3 times and everytime its absolutly worth the money, lots to see but also alot of people. But you can get very close to some of the animals and se everything in as natural an habitat as possible

Loved this place from the start. Not overpriced, so many photo ops So much to see and the animals get so close!Definitely worth spending a few hours here and perfect for a rainy day.

Interesting view into the rainforrest. Esecially the manat/seecow and the crocks are interesting. Its not that big so easy to over come on a rainy day..

Super fun activity for the family - it's a bit weird walking around amongst the animals but really fun and different from the typical zoos.

I usually only write reviews to make compliments to outstanding places, but not this time. Randers Regnskov does have exotic animals that aren't usually found in other zoos (which was the reason of our visit), but their parking place was full and the service is worse than terrible! We went there on the 13th of August around 13 o'clock. We have a dog, I knew she was not allowed inside, what is more than understandable. So we left her outside, besides the building, on short leash. While buying the tickets we asked if she could be in the reception area and got a negative answer - no problem, it's understandable too. The young dark-blonde guy in the reception said they have cages for dogs, I explained that my dog is traumatized with cages since she stayed in a quarantine (she got separation anxiety), that she feels better outside where she can see the entrance/exit. And the guy said it was ok. So we started seeing the animals and now and then we were going out just to check if everything was ok with the dog - and it was, my dog was laying down, calm. In one of these times a worker with grey hair talked to my husband, he was nice and repeated with a smile that the dog could stay there with no problem. But next time I went out to say hello to my dog a very rude worker of asian descent said my dog could not stay there at all, that I had to move her right away and couldn't even go inside to talk to my husband! He said that the reason is that kids could pass there. But my dog was not on the way at all, there is at least 50 meters of walking way there (see picture), she was far from the door, on short leash and loves kids!!! I went inside to complain, a girl gave a new version, that the problem is that they can get a fine if a dog is outside! But everywhere in Scandinavia we can leave dogs outside the buildings while shopping etc. So I asked to talk to one of the two who had said the dog could be outside. The dark-blonde guy was there and his excuse was that he had said so only because he was busy!!! And that actually the dog couldn't be there because people can have allergy (third different version)! Since it's a completely open area, where people can even smoke, allergy can't be a reason at all... If they had said from the start that there was a rule I wouldn't be writing a bad review, but staff giving different information, changing their minds and being rude is no way acceptable. Due to the awful and rude service this place left us a very bitter taste, I can't recommend it.

Sometimes the guides serve the food that the animals eat. It is also possible to visit the "Lively" kitchen, where animals seek to find their food hidden in secret Places. Especially an experience for the smaller children.
