The place is nice but has nothing outrageous to show the visitors.Personnally, if you are not staying in the hotel, it seems a little bit ackward "that bunch of tourists coming to see the place in which I am satying"..... I wouldn´t be a part of this theatre for sure...

We took bus 20 from Center, which runs every 20 minutes. Get off at Hotel Llao Llao and walk through the hotel ground. The park entrance ranger station is slightly up the road. The park has a very well marked loop for a nice day hike. It is better to do the hike in counterclockwise direction as the view is better down to the lake in the morning. Cerro Llao Llao is the only climb otherwise it was mainly flat. There are nice spots along the way for picnics. The views of the surrounding mountains are quite nice. Pack enough water and food as there is no facilities in the park.

There are hiking opportunities and a great panoramic viewpoint in this park. Worth exploring for all or part of a day. Lovely hills, lakes, forests, and extensive scenery. Great photo opportunities. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

We caught the No 20 bus out to the Llao Llao natural park and discovered a place of astounding peace and beauty. The bus dropped us by the port, where boats depart for various lakeside destinations and we walked into the park. Don't stay on the bus until it gets to the hotel, get off just before. There is a tourist info booth inside and when we went the lady who was there spoke excellent English. We took the trail up to Cerro Llao Llao and then on round the park stopping off for a paddle at the beach of Villa Tacul, there was a stall there that you can buy simple food. The sound of the birdsong is magical, the terrain is not too arduous for 60 year olds such as we and would also be great for families. There is good information on the abundant flora and fauna en route. All in all it's a great and very inexpensive way to while away a day. Views from the hilltop are of course stunning.
