I had the pleasure doing a multi-day trip with Andes Challenge in November with my father last November. Having found them on Tripadvisor, in the weeks and months leading up to our trip, Santiago was excellent in email communications to plan exactly what we wanted to do. He was happy to listen to our requests and plan something which covered everything we wanted to do: bike riding, horse riding, vineyards, salt flats, scenic drives and nice local towns. All we needed to do was turn up (and pay them) and the majority of the rest was taken care of during the days, so we were free to relax and enjoy our vacation.Santiago and later Facundo seemed truly passionate about what they do in this, one of the most beautiful parts of the world I have seen. They took the time to explain interesting facts in Spanish and very good English when needed - language was never an issue - and were always happy to stop for pictures and help us in doing so.They also took us to some great locations, including Cafayate and Cachi, with good recommendations for food along the way. If I went back to Salta, I would have no hesitation in looking in to more adventures with Andes Challenge!

We had an unforgettable time with Santiago going to Purmarca and the Salt Flats nearby. Aside from all of the driving we had a great lunch and fun time hiking around the town. Santiago was a great host and friend. This was just an awesome way to experience Salta and Jujuy and the Andes Challenge tour was everything we had hoped it would be.

We visited Salta in the beginning of October and went on a four day trip with Facundo in the Andes, which was an unforgettable experience. We drove to the little town Iruya and hiked from there to San Juan and San Isidro, were we spent the nights staying with local families. We experienced how the locals live in these small and remote villages surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. Facundo explained and shared his stories about the people, mountains, flora and fauna of the area. He has a unique knowledge and connection with the local people that we feel privileged to have experienced. Always helpful and kind, he is a great guide and company for any trip. The hike was a little challenging at some places in the heat of 25 degrees Celsius, but not too difficult. We reached the mountain tops and enjoyed good lunches while enjoying spectacular views. We highly recommend to contact Andeschallenge if you wish to enjoy Northern Argentina, and get a unique experience you will never forget. My girlfriend and I spent 3 full days in Salta, two of them with Santi form Andes Challenge. Not enough can be said about Santi and the Andes Challenge. First things first, these guys take pride in their native Salta, and it is purely evident, and emanates in every word and every point of the finger to show you the next landmark. We knew our time in Salta was limited, so we weren't sure how much we would be able to see. We ended up seeing and learning more in 2 days than we ever could have imagined. Take the day trip to Cafayate and say yes to "the hike". We saw zero tourists along the hike and had complete serenity for over an hour. While in Cafayate we wanted to taste some wine, but it was a Monday and most of the wineries were closed. Santiago made a phone call and one of the local wineries opened their doors to us, and only us. They actually turned down other wine spectators while we were there. We toured the barrel rooms, grounds, and tasted great wines alone. Santi's lucnch suggestions were great as well. Also take the day trip to the Salinas Grandes, and accept the "bike ride" down 36 kilometers of hairpin turns surrounded by the most amazing views you have ever seen. If you aren't that adventurous, the drive alone is worth the trip. Again, our photos from this day are unreal because Santi followed us through the Salt flats and down the entire mountain, taking pictures from every angle and vantage point. At one point my girlfriend had to use the restroom, and Santi drove a few minutes out of the way passing other bathrooms, because he wanted to take her to the "clean restrooms". You won't get that with any tour group, or in a rental car not knowing your surroundings.Lastly, I accidentally overpaid Santi the last day by 1000 pesos, and 10 minutes after we got back to the room, I received a phone call from the front desk. Santi had returned to give back the money. I appreciate and respect that level of honesty and professionalism. Santi and his partner are hard working, good people who take immense pride in their province and their work. I would highly recommend their company and send anyone to see the beautiful Salta with these guys. Others have said it in their reviews, but now I get it. This was the BEST part of our visit in Argentina. Santiago - we immensely enjoyed our two days with you, your music, your stories and our conversations in the car, and ofcourse, Salta. Wish you guys the best in the future! Frank and Tessa

We had a 4-day adventure in Jujuy with Santiago as our guide. He was very helpful all the way through organizing the trip (we had a lot of questions) and to guide us around the wilderness. The trips with Andes challenge is unique in that you are free to make strange requests, able to stop whenever you feel like and even diverted a bit from the route to where your nose smells adventure (within the limits of common sense of course). This makes it very personalized and something to remember. Santi was a great tour guide and he was very good at adapting to our often weird humor. Quite amazing in fact :-) I will definitely recommend Andes challenge if you get a chance to visit Salta or Jujuy!

We toured cafayate and cachi with Santiago and Nico. They were fun, funny, smart and told interesting stories. The scenery was spectacular and activities were well organized and the experience couldn't have been replicated with out them. They made the trip interesting and fun for the whole family - five stars all the way. It was important to them that we all had a great time and we did!

We took 2 day-trips (hiking & Salinas Grandes) with Andes Challenge and this turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made on our trips. This was not only one of the greatest highlights of our Argentina trip but also one of the greatest highlights of all the trips we did till now.Santi was our guide on both occasions and we couldn't ask for a better guide. Good English, very knowledgeable, funny, considerate (we were almost dying on our hike up the hill with our poor condition but he managed to keep our spirits up and made us keep going - and it was so worth it!). Excellent experience!

Facundo and his side-kick Esteban took me to Salinas Grandes. Facundo is extremely knowledgeable about history, geology, nature, anthropology and anything else that makes a tour with him worthwhile. His English is excellent and he takes pains to explain sites and give historical contexts. A+; an exceptional guide.

If you visit Salta, you should really book Andes Challenge. I emailed them and Facundo told me that I could go with them on the 'Cuesta del Obispo' trekking trip a day later. And it was perfect.Facundo tells a lot of interesting things about the environment, adjusts to your speed a prepares a really good, healthy lunch. You can clearly see that all this is what he loves to do. Besides that the views were stunning and the whole trip was beyond my expectations. What I also liked was our group of five with three people of Andes Challenge, including the guide Facundo. They are all friends and make a lot of jokes. I immediately felt comfortable. One of them calls herself a princess by the way :). And the princess of fun and making jokes she sure is.Book these guys for sure!
