If you have kids, this is a must go. Quite large museum with several exhibition themes, from food to bubbles to magnetism.A little far away, but totally worth the travel.

Great Place to go even if you don't have any children. All you need to have is a nerdy side. This Museum has some cool "attractions" (it looks like more an indoor amusenet park) that will teach you the basics of physics, nutrition, eletromagnetism, robotics, optics, and other stuffs.

Our 10 year old son loved M.I.M. He really enjoyed all the interactive exhibits. We caught the train from central Santiago and then walked to the museum, however I would recommend taking a cab from the station as it is a long walk - and you should save your energy for the museum.

It is not the best museum in the world however I had a lot of fun when I went as a little girl. I remember learning a lot of different stuff in a proactive way. This is a great place for kids, or parents with their kids. It can be a little far away from the city and not cheap, however a really good day out for children. Unfortunatly everything is in spanish but I think you can still enjoy the place.
