It has a ton of fun restaurants and little shops. It is near the zoo and Pablo Neruda's Casa in Santiago.

Felt a little uncomfortable late a night on certain streets. Never had a problem, though. Kind of dirty in areas as well.

There is so much action and artistic designs along the streets. Not just on Pio Nonno, but all around the barrio. I loved walking on the sidwalk and seeing the beautiful mosaics under my feet. Of course, the main attractions are the bars and nightclubs where one can savour local beers and a pisco sour.

Many bars andrestaurants but kind of gritty. Does not start to heat up until early evening. Never did find the artist studios that the guidebook said were there - hmmmmm?

A great neighborhood to visit with a vibrant night life. Access to the funicular (a must) to see the beautiful view, Pablo Neruda's famous house and the lively Constitucion and Patio Bellavista. Near Bellas Artes subway, walk through the shady Parque Forestral , over pio Nonno and you are there. Great graffiti and photo opportunities.

Bellavista is a great spot for finding good local food or a bar...lots of choices...fun and festive atmosphere.

We walked through this area on the walking tour and then returned for a drink at an outside cafe and for shopping. Many little shops to browze through. Rather quiet during the day but obviously a great place to go in the evening for a meal and entertainment.

walked the neighborhood in the afternoon on my way to San Cristobal. Was a cool area but not a lot going on. Seemed like a better place to check out in the night time.

Just loved wandering around the streets of this area on a lovely sunny day. Full of some fantastic street art which made for great photos.During the day it is sleepy but I would imagine with all the bars and nightclubs it would be very active at night. But at my age I am fast sleep when the revellers would be out & about. A few good restaurants around but we went to the Patio Bellavista for lunch -nice selection of food opportunities.

I adore Santiago, Chile and all the wonderful areas the city offers for visiting and enjoyment over multiple visits. I have almost NEVER been disappointed however the highly touted Barrio Bellavista was an unfortunate surprise and disappointment. It is dirty, smelly, restaurants and bars are low rent with poor quality drinks and even poorer quality food. The overwhelming graffiti is not certainly not artistic effort, just street dopes disfiguring public spaces. Not bohemian, exotic or exciting, just sad, cheap and worn out looking. Go to LaStarria instead. This opinion is based upon 2 visits of several hours over 2 days with extensive walking, looking and the use of 2 restaurants, 3 bars and 1 gelato shop.
