I was on a Colaneri and wine tour of the Santiago area. Today we visited Concho be Toro and Undurraga. This was the best wine tour of many dozen that I've been on in my life. David one of the winemakers gave the English tour for our group. He was incredibly informative. He knew the wine business from planting the great glance through marketing and distribution and shared his knowledge freely with us. Photography was encouraged and many wonderful opportunities both in the vineyards on the grounds and in the winery to take one of the kind lifetime chance photographs. The tour ended with a tasting we started with a absolutely Chris and wonderful white progress through two reds and ended up with a late season Chardonay. The wine was a delightful surpriseFrom a crisp fresh white to the complex ribs that are worth many times their price. We had to get some bottles to go even that we will not be able to take them on our airplane will enjoy them before we leave Chile and Argentina

My husband and I had a lovely tour of the Undurraga Winery. We did a private tour with David, who was very knowledgable and friendly. We found he really made the tour exceptional. Thank you David! We rented a car and drove from Santiago. We used a GPS, it isn't the easiest to find. It's on a Main Street in a small community where you would never think there was a winery! It makes it even more unique! Undurraga has an interesting story and it was really great going down into the 100 year old cellar. We loved this tour!!

It is an alternative for those who want a different winemaker instead of the usual big companies. Very interesting visit, with a different approach, a bit more technical in terms of wine production. Visits on April/May should be more interesting and illustrative. The Wine shop offers many goodies and a variety that we didn't find in the small markets of Santiago.

Our guide (David) was so friendly, super knowledgeable about the wine production, and spoke perfect English. He also gave us a great tip to go to the restaurant about a kilometer away (TalaCanta) which was fantastic as well. If you like wine you will enjoy this wine tour!!!

First of all, it was working through the Fiestas Pátrias. Extremely simple and easy to get to, we did not make a reservation, but it would be more prudent.I was not informed of the need for a reservation in the "picnic tour", which was a shame. But it seems lovely to make such a visit in their park.Definitely worth a visit.
