I loved the statue, but it's hard to get at because there's nowhere to park. It isn't really in a park. More like a large boulevard.

This statue is out of the city center in a boulevard in a busy street. If our tour guide hadn't stopped for us to see it, I don't think I would have thought it was anything special. Skip this if you're not staying nearby.

Across from the cemetery (lots of things are), this is just a large statue of a shepherd, two dogs, four sheep and a horse. Everybody sits on the horse so the brass there is polished well, but the shepherd, the dog, and the sheep are all black. It's interesting because it is so well done and it's just there, in the middle of the Parkway (along with the big Christmas tree when we were there). Something to see as long as you are in the area anyway.

Right in the middle median of a busy Street but you can park and walk to it. Fun to sit in the saddle for a picture.

One of the traditional monuments in this city located at the center of Bulnes avenue where its a must you must get down and have a picture removed sitting on the horse or on the sheep.

Imposible venir a la ciudad y no tomarse una foto sentado en las ovejas. Cerca del centro y al frente del cementerio.

en este lugar es punto obligado de los turistas para tomase una fotografía. El monumento representa al hombre del campo que junto a sus perros fieles deben guiar por el campo un rebaño de ovejas. en Avenida Bulnes cercano al cementerio se encuentra el monumento al ovejero frente al Hospital de las Fuerzas Armadas.

Linda escultura de bronce y cobre, que recuerda los incios de la ganadería y la vida del ovejero en Pta Arenas. Un clásico que no puedes dejar de fotografear.

No puedes ir a Punta Arenas sin pasar por este monumento. Es bonito, pero el entorno lo lo acompaña mucho, pues en la foto siempre salen autos, peatones, postes electricos feos.
