We loved our walk around the market, the booths and small eateries. Lots to see and experience, pelicans and sea lions were within touching distance. This is a very rustic area, full of locals with great photo opportunities.

In the Fish Market of Arica there are some amazing sellers of the freshest fish & seafood. It makes for a great stroll and opportunity to take in all the Pacific has to offer, but it doesn't stop there. This is the place to sample the freshest Chilean Style Ceviche, too! And at rock bottom prices! From boat to wharf to kiosk then available for sale in the early hours and throughout the day, this is the place to indulge. Many of the party crowd will came here to eat before seeking out their beds the morning after much indulgence... the rest of the day there's a steady stream of locals to ensure there's nothing that goes to waste. Be sure to enjoy to enjoy the Seafood Empanadas with the ubiquitous Pebre Sauce.

Es gibt einen größeren Teil des Fischmarktes im Hafen und einen kleineren davor, an der Seitenwand des alten Bahnhofs der Eisenbahn Arica - La Paz. Beide sind interessant, aber wer nach der Mittagszeit kommt, wird enttäuscht.Gemessen an den anderen Fischmärkten des Landes (z.B. Santiago, Puerto Montt, Valdivia...) ist das Angebot hier bescheidener.

Un mercado pequeño frente al mar y muy concurrido. Fui por las famosas empanadas que ofrecen. Probé la de mariscos y me pareció buena, vale la pena darse una vuelta y probar qué hay por allá (también hay erizos), sobre todo porque se ve fresco.

Si bien me encantan los pescados y aquí se encuentran muy frescos y sabrosos... la higiene del lugar no me parecio la mejor... muchas moscas y gaviotas y hasta pelicanos vi. y si bien el olor es el típico de los mercados...acá creo que es peor... igual vi mucha gente comiendo ceviche y los comentarios eran muy buenos... yo sólo compre pescado para cocinar y debo decir que fue muy sabroso. más que los del litoral central.

Imperdible para quienes gustan de los productos del mar, sencillos, ricos y baratos. No apto para quien tenga muchos escrúpulos, como todos los mercados la higiene no es sobresaliente y siempre hay algún riesgo, pero bien vale la pena. Las empanadas de jaiba, pulpo, camarones son deliciosas.

Sigue siendo un excelente lugar para comer al paso, las delicias del mar, mariscos y ceviches, preparados con los productos más frescos, bien preparados y abundante...... ahhh y muy barato!!Fuimos casi todos los días tipo medio día, para tomar el aperitivo con un delicioso pote de Erizos, los aliñas a tu gusto y te los sirves.Muy limpio todo, muy amables...... grata conversación, para conocer más a la gente de la ciudad.

Me encanta que se encuentra de todo y para todos los gustos.Me encanta comer mariscos ahi mismo ben frescos. EL precio es un poco elevado pero nada supera un buen ceviche mixto con papa mayo!

Este pequeño mercado se encuentra a la vuelta de la estacion del FFCC ARICA LA PAZ, no son muchos locales sino que son pocos, se nota que provienen de pesca artesanal. Y es pintoresco para ir a ver, sin embargo no me pareció muy higienico y no se si en lo personal me arriesgaria. Vi muchas moscas y eso para mi no es bueno!
